Well, at least the new Acid Storm is a good sign Maketoys is still kicking and trying to do things.

This really is a beautiful mold, glad people get to get in on the reissue, I don’t think I’ll ever sell mine.

It's not radio silence, is my point, and seems to be movement in the right direction.

Terrified. First coats drying. The thigh/knee pins were surprisingly easy to get out, couldn't get the shin ones to budge so just covered and taped the rest of the legs off. Pray for me, I suck at DIY!

Sorry I couldn’t offer timely help but you are doing exactly what I did. So good luck.

Not a worry! To be honest you'd have thought I'd realise the thighs were metal, not shiny painted plastic :p  Gonna do a second coat when I get back home, then hopefully just a clear coat to do- though the shins/feet do seem fairly sturdy after one coat so I may just do the thighs.

EDIT: Several days painting, waiting, coating and washing later...
    20201030_142816.jpg

Looks so much better! I think 3/4 light coats of white, 2 coats of clear. 3 coats of silver and 1 clesr on shins/feet. Shame the post is whack this week so no grey feet decals yet.

Next I need to find someone UK side who can print the waterslides for me...

Sorry to bump with another old question that's been done to death over the years, but does anyone have the hi-res decal sheet snaku originally made like two years ago? Thanks!

Hopefully, the reissue is really on-track to release to sometime this month. I'm anxious to see the final paint deco and little extras MT has hinted at. If QC is good I won't have to worry about getting another MP Jazz.

Wow... those are nice. Kinda wish I'd known about them before creating my own. Well, maybe not, because I actually enjoy creating them myself. But those are damned nice!

I finally achieved my childhood goal and got a G1 Jazz and it just made my craving for this figure even stronger.

Nice paintwork! I find the swirly-grey plastic parts sort of distracting on mine, but I actually prefer the silver thighs. Yours looks nice, though, if a more toon look is preferred.

I drew up some feet decals (along with a few others) and printed them on vinyl. They're not great, but not permanent either, so if I decide to go a different route it's an easy return to stock.

Same. Still have my PO for Premium Downbeat in while since also putting in a deposit for FT's as well. Though I find it very odd that while MT made mention of the Coneheads, Acid Storm and a Starscream rerelease, there was NO mention of Downbeat in terms of a release update. Which I found odd in retrospect.

Hoping it comes out real soon as well.

Think the TFCon slides were specifically upcoming releases and in reality Downbeat is coming now (i.e. we all know that it's imminent/in production, and shouting about it loudly when it was actually due in May would detract from the 'news' aspects).

Right, right, makes sense. For me at least, it would have made sense if Maketoys put out a feeler about Downbeat, considering the all the time we've waited. Also since the Coneheads were pushed back a fair bit all in the same. Though to be fair, those are obviously not rereleases, haha.

I'd be happy just to hear that stock has landed on this. The PowerPoint slides are all well and good, but I don't see the Coneheads as likely until mid 2021 at the earliest for the first one. I'm not sure the Acid Storm will hit when it's forecasting, same for Meteor reissue. Just getting Downbeat out would be a start!
