I would love to have a 3P Armada Superbase OP, but this version seems to be too much focused on adding leg articulation, at the expenses of everything else. Not sure what they were aiming for with those giant black missile pods, they are completely out of place - they took a detail and exaggerated it. They innovation doesn't exactly work, and the nostalgia elements are diluted - a LOSE-LOSE decision.

I've always wanted two MPs versions I thought no one would do: Camshaft and Hosehead. As much as Camshaft looks great, Hosehead is... um, lacking. They said it was a very early prototype, so I'll wait to see how it goes.

Windblade as Dead End? But.. why? She has always been a jet.
Yet another Superion? How many more do TP collectors need?

Wow, making a transforming Batman. Ripping of two companies at once! Double the legal costs once they get sued.

    What an amazing presentation!

I am not usually one to buy 3rd parties, but this latest offering has me ready to reserve the Mastermind Creations Deathsaurus, Star Saber, Junior Headmasters, Rung, and the Omnibots!!

Now if only TFC would get busy re-releasing TFC Hades, I'd be in good shape...

Ok, ok, signs of life are always good. That's generally what I'm walking away with here. It's a far jump from the halcyon days, but I'll take it. I feel like the Omnibots reveal is the crowbar wedging open the door that's trying to slam shut on the 3P scene. I'm hoping it's signalling a desire to move into unexplored territory and not just a last hurrah.

How they can be sued for this particular release? It does not contain any logos, trademarks or names.

It's not crazy. It's common in business for the bigger company to absorb successful startups in order to both add to their own offerings while eliminating them as competition. I've suggested before that Takara and Hasbro should figure out some sort of licensing or endorsement agreement with 3P companies that would effectively breathe new life into the overall game.

To me it feels like Fanstoys is becoming the "Nintendo" of the third party industry. A few years back they (Nintendo) decided that they would no longer attend e3, and shortly afterwards we got the Nintendo Direct videos.
Now we just need a Fanstoys Direct!

The superion is legends scale. Zeta just took theirs and shrunk it down for legends fans, and I'd say they needed it, as everyone seems busy with menasor. Sure na is doing a superion, but if zetas gets out there first, I'm sure it'll grab some people

Not to mention the toy itself is an original design.

I dont know why these Hasbro loyalists want to declare all homages as IP theft, when they clearly do not understand the law and clearly do not believe in certain freedoms. You can sue anyone over anything, if thats ur goal. See "nuisance" or "slapp" suit for more. Hasbro loyalists: why wait for an actual infraction? Just ask Hasbro to sue whoever u dont like! :D

The 3p omnibots are sick. I wondered why no 3p had made them yet. I didn't see Downshift in the pictures but I'm guessing they'll make that one too. The toy based detailing makes them look 100% better than if they were cartoon style (even though I'm not sure if they even had character models anyway)

Keith has confirmed on facebook that they will also make Downshift but he wasn't ready in time to show him off here. And no, I've never seen cartoon character models for the Omnibots (not for the comics either, they were usually based on the same basic artwork) so I guess they really don't exist.

Now the question; which company to purchase a Protectobot set from? I guess I'll likely do what I typically do and simply buy both. It's only (cough-choke) money after all.

He's not wrong until confirmed as such. You could add to the speculation this is why FT has been pumping out products to finish up before the change over and pulling from distributors/sellers too.

Either way, just wish FT would make the announcement already, as I like to see what products they got up their sleeve or worse, maybe nothing at all and just playing catch up.

It WOULD make a bunch of sense to make FT an official Takara subsidiary and let them finish out the MP line. Or even just license them to make the toys. I know that historically Takara has had the exclusive license to produce transforming Transformers, but I also remember there was recently a soundwave statue that had a transforming laserbeak that wasn't produced by Takara or Hasbro. So there has been some give on that front as far as licensing third parties to produce transforming Transformers
