Man, what an awesome figure. Look at that poorly painted Sam figurine, this little lump of plastic that if it showed up on fuckin' Ebay or something no one would know it had anything at all to do with Transformers.

 

No thanks, I\'m threw with purchasing the live action Studio Series toys.

When they start getting down to the more obscure characters, they need someone like Bumblebee to prop up the line. They can't make waves filed with only obscure characters. For better or worse, Bumblebee sells. And the good thing about Bumblebee is that he has tons of bodies and vehicles throughout the movies. It would be boring to re-release the exact same figure over and over again, but making his separate designs has essentially the same effect as getting new characters because they're all new molds (or at least remolds).

Personally, I'm not too interested in the modern Camaro Bumblebees. I realize they're technically different cars and/or have unique modifications in each movie...but they basically all have the same robot mode, and the cars essentially look the same if you're not a car enthusiast (I can spot the differences, but to me they're not different enough for me to want to own them all). I do like how this includes a little Sam figure...I kind of wish they'd include human figurines with more SS figures.

But I'd really like to see the '60s Camaro from AOE, and the '70s Camaro with his 2018 body (as seen in the credits scene). And Cybertronian Bee from Cliffjumper. I think all those would be really cool.

 

I think most of the hate for this figure is the result of a perfect storm of the fact that there have been absolutely zero Studio Series reveals since the beginning of this year, the fact that this is a Bumblebee, and the fact that this was leaked rather than revealed officially. The entire situation is just a shitstorm.

Had this been revealed officially by Hasbro alongside RotF Sideswipe, Jolt, and others, I think that people would be less inclined to hate it. It would be more of a situation where people would think, "It's not for me, but it's fine considering we're getting all these other figures."

I honestly don't think he looks too bad. He's a cool remold of the original 07 mold and people who missed out on that figure can get it. It also gives me some nice nostalgia for the Human Alliance figure which I got when I was six. That Sam figure doesn't. It honestly looks like shit. I would have preferred if they had made a better figure like they did with Charlie in that 2-pack, or just scrapped the minifig entirely for a helmet mask feature.

Overall, he's a perfectly serviceable Studio Series Deluxe.

 

Ugh, not a fan of that light grey on Bumblebee, I’ve never liked it. Would’ve preferred a dark metallic blue to homage the older deluxe ROTF bees.

 

Honestly i dont hate it but the paint on the middle section of the front of the car and the middle of the chest makes it look weird,

I would rather have jolt dino sideswipe

People talk about the drones from the games, what about the coold drones that everyone else mistakes for dreads? They have enought differences so they wouldnt just be remolds, also where is random dread repaint of berserker with whatever name since they already used crankcase? , i dont care if they call it, mr horn, the not friendly bot, just repaint berserker already, also, trench and onslaught have been requested by fans for a long time also since we rven considering concepts or games or whatever, arcee using her concept/comic/first toy design at an smaller scale, that is my biggest dream if this line(at least the bayformer side of it) doesnt die,...

If people have a hold of figures or photos or leaks why waste them on... Bumblebee?

If you got both the original 79 camaro and clunker Bee just swap the heads on one of them. They transform fine and gives both molds a different look.

 

I've enjoyed quite a few of the movie repaints over the years, like the rescue (g1 deco) HFTD ratchet, the blue and yellow repaint of sideswipe, dotm quick strike

We need more stuff like that in SS , maybe a prowl redeco from one of the bumblebee figures, smokescreen from sideswipe ect.

Although I would love new mold figures based of the concept art and games first and foremost, really need a voyager dotm warpath

Paint on the front grille is absolutely atrocious.

 

What baffles me is that they could go through the effort of retooling the minor car details for each version of Bee, but they couldn't be bothered to make a new head for KSI Boss or even use the right mold for Crankcase. It's oddly inconsistent with their effort.

 

Everybody's complaining about the Bee figure and I'm trying to figure out why he's chasing Frankenstein.

 

Awww. Wtf?!? I don’t care about the head, but that grill in car mode isn’t streamlined. I guess I’ll settle for 07 Bee, but I really wanted an ROTF one. Damn.

 

If this plus other Bayverse figures like Jolt or ROTF Sideswipe were revealed, Toy Fair is not till beginning of May next year, that's over 6 Months away. We are expecting the first wave of Studio Series next year around February or March. So the second wave may not be till like Mid or End of May to June. Make sense.
