That’s hard though I’ve always like Brawl since he is a Tank and I love tanks, but out of the three right now I like Incursus since he is just so bulky but Fraudo is pretty cool too

 

Just received Brawl today. Nice figure. Transformation is over so quickly, though.

 

So, the button on the top of the turret, that let's the turret telescope up and down, does not want to move at all. I pressed and pushed it pretty hard and pulled up on the turret harder than I was comfortable doing, but nothing moved.
Anyone else experince this or have any suggestions?

 

I have finally found the time to put Assaultus together...

Here are my thoughts on all the combining process:

1. The toy style combined mode looks gorgeous!
2. The combiner joints suck! Whoever designed those ratchets needs to go back to the engineering school!
3. The all built in engineering is amazing!!!!
4. Fraudo was the most difficult to get in combined mode. My hands hurt!!!
5. The combined mode ankle joints for the forward and backward movement) should have been (good) ratchets.
6. The combined mode heels need a better locking mechanism to prevent Assaultus from falling backwards.
7. One big failure of Assaultus' rifle is that it doesn't peg in neither of the combined mode hands nor it can’t be stored anywhere on him.
8. Quality wise, the whole set is very good, other than the ratchet joints, I really don't have any complaints.
9. Not perfect by any means, but it is indeed very impressive to look at. Overall I am quite happy with my purchase.
10. Not an issue related to the combined mode per se, but those thrusters "sliders" in Volatus' legs were one of my biggest frustrations... I had to unscrew them in order to "slide" the last brown cilinder that connects to the thruster out ... Oh my God...
11. Looking forward to a ratchet upgrade kit.

I didn't have such a problem with Brawl, but I had to disassemble Volatus to get the thruster sliders to move.

 

Aw man, there wasn't any information on a G2 release.

 

Huh? What do you mean? Both the big silver gun from the upgrade kit and Incursus' green rifle have handle bits that flip down so they tab into the combined-mode hands.

 

Really? Where? I couldn't find any decent port to plug the gun in... I will check later, maybe I didn't pay enough attention to where the port was located.

 

I was hoping for that and/or Baldigus redeco news too

Took apart the turret. It had the main part for the button mechanism installed upside-down from the factory. Fixed this issue and it works ok.

 

I double-checked, and I'm slightly mis-remembering. The tab is still on the Onslaught handle, the rest of the handle is just something to wrap his fingers around.

The tabs fit into the space that the thumbs tuck into. It's not tight enough to pass a shake test, but the thumbs fold over the handle and it should be pretty secure after that.

No G2 reveal? I guess my hope for owning this set one day has been dashed.

got my brawl coming from the TCP. i bought it about a month or so ago it was just sitting in my roller stash so i figured it was time for him to come home. i have the complete set even the add on. i looked over on tfsource for these and they must have jacked up the prices on these. i remember onslaught being only 159.00 now he is up to 170.00 and the rest of the gang are like 115 or something like that when they were only 109 what`s the deal with that?

 

Supply and Demand my friend, since they are popular and selling out everywhere the online retailers are jacking up the price so they can get more money out of it just simple economics

 

You think thats bad? Go back a page or 2 and you'll find out that probus is 160 and above on ebay, witheveryone epe either gone or 130 and up.

 

If onslaught is only 170 on TFSource, then they came down. At one point they had him at 189

 

Sometimes I wonder why we don’t use Newtons, Jules or moles as currency (or Energon)  . Economics and money are just another problem humanity have imposed upon themselves.

 

Be careful with such criticisms here. The MMC employees only like to read positive comments here. I agree (as do other members in this thread) the the combined form weak, floppy shoulder/hip ratchets on Incursus are trash. Apparently MMC are only interested in promoting new stuff and don’t care to support current products. The ratchets should be replaced for free.

I can tell them where to stick a ratchet upgrade kit. After purchasing 2 sets, I refuse to waste more money on poorly designed MMC combiners. Caveat Emptor.
