That's obviously MMC's, not XTB - who hasn't released an image of the combined mode yet.
I do note that MMC's Hotspot will be HUGE.

No matter how big it is, I'm sure half of this thread will eventually be comprised of asking for thigh extensions, ankle add-ons, and an OS KO of it.

Its the thighs. If you look, the thighs are longer than the calves, are at least the blue part which probably looks weird, as all gestalts before this usually had short shins and long calves

 

What we've seen are early renders. We'll need to wait and see what the color actually looks like on the physical copy. I'm sure XTB will get it right. Then again they screwed up the color of their Motormaster's sword.

It (MMC's) does look kind of wonky proportions-wise but that's to be expected for all-in-one engineering. Curious if XTB will have a better design and look in that mode.

At this late stage in collecting, I no longer plan to go all in on a Defensor set as I've been paring down my collection, but if the botmodes look really good, I might pick one or two of them up.

 

XTB needs to finish Menasor at a reasonable price before I consider buying more of their combiner projects. Other 3P companies don't charge extra for the combiner parts so XTB is already on thin ice. Otherwise, looks decent as per usual from XTB

 

While i very much say they should release all their other promised figures before even getting to today's reveals, I'm happy that an MP defensor is getting made. Just might take another decade given xtb's history of just abandoning figures.

 

I knew this post was coming, I even commented on it in the YouTube video live chat of the presentation as soon as it appeared (though I spelled your name wrong, sorry).

"Nearly" is a word with a variable definition depending on the person using it. Basically he means bigger than the minibot sized to match Takara's MP Carbots (Sideswipe etc) is "nearly Optimus Prime size".

Until we get word from XTB I would go into it assuming it is the Zeta size class like their Menasor is.

Early renders is the right time to comment on colors when it is still very easy to change them (relatively speaking). Going on an extended angry rant about it would be overkill, but just waiting without mentioning it would also be wrong if it matters to you (which colors do to David).

Oh cool, another MP combiner from the company with the worst track record for MP combiners. How long has it been since their first Stunticon came out, and how clear were they upfront on the pricing structure of said combiner? Hell, we still have no idea how much the last piece will be or when it will come out. I don't care if this thing is a damn revelation: I am never buying a combiner from XTB again. There's just way too much bullshit.

 

It looks pretty good but we really do need to see a LOT more, and get an idea of how the combiner will work and be priced, before most people (myself included) are willing to commit to another XTB combiner set.

 

I hope that XTB has better plans with the Protectobots. I'm looking at my XTB stunticons and they still cannot combine. The BS has to stop XTB srlsy.

 

A lot of crying about XTB not having Menasor completed, but at the same time neither does anyone else. At least they have the whole team available.
