Yeah, the most popular, profitable, and consistent in releases this year third party company is going away. They didn’t show up to one phoned in convention panel, they’re done for!

 

WHERE IS RIOTER GALACTRON?!

 

Honestly... Fanshobby surprised me. They are doing Fatimus Prime.

 

Can anyone confirm if Fanshobby G2 Megatron is dead? I'm tired of hoping i'll see it each TFcon dispite knowing better.

I liked The IDW stuff and FOC Shockwave though.

 

I just ignore any 3P doomsday predictions from RFC people at this point. Odds are they will be right eventually, but they have cried wolf far to many times to give them any credibility on the topic.

FH has said they have changed their production plans whenever asked about G2 Megatron. We can keep asking and maybe they will do it some day, but it is very unlikely to be any time soon. I can only guess it is based on how sales went on the Laser Optimus mold. They haven't done any more G2 or RID (the two lines that mold is part of) since.

 

Disappointed we didn't get any Transform Elements announcements. I'm not concerned with the lack of FT announcements but I'd hate to see TE not make it. Op Leader and Speed Star are really good figures and was looking forward to what they might have next.

 

I need that first gen RX-7 figure, not even sure who it's supposed to be, but I must have it.

 

Don\'t get me wrong that planet x grimlock looks great but wheres the combaticons?

 

I'm disappointed we didn't get any Beast Wars third party reveals. Maybe when Kingdom comes out third parties will try to capitalize on that market.

I am glad we're getting an Armada Optimus Prime, though. Although, something about him seems off. I think it's that he's not as WIDE as the original design. Armada Optimus had some CHONK to him. This toy doesn't have that. At least in normal robot mode, which I honestly think should be the focus because Optimus really only used his combined mode(s) for a couple minutes during the climactic battle of each episode. Most of the time he was just plain old Optimus.

I also wonder what they'll do for the inevitable Nemesis Prime repaint. Will it just be the cab since that's all that Nemesis Prime was? Will they include the trailer and give a hypothetic Super Nemesis Prime mode? And assuming they also do Prime's partners, Jetfire and Overload, will they also do evil black repaints of them so you can have a Nemesis version of them as well. I think a Nemesis version of Overload could look especially sick if they make him all black, but paint in his little details in red. Or maybe just flip his colors so that his dark grey parts are red and his red parts are dark grey. And then swap the white on him for black and the yellow on him for teal. Something like that would look cool too.

 

As for the rest only interested in the omnibots, the ps protectobots and moon studio raiden

 

Boy, Fans Hobby really can't stop clinging to that Prime crutch (surprised they haven't done sleep mode or Fireguts Ginrei, yet).

Still, good that they're they're finishing the Headmaster Jr's (for the Autobots at least). Kinda wish they would pick a series to focus on stick with (who am I kidding I just want, Getaway, Dreadwind and Darkwing)

Cool that Cross Dimensions is getting resurrected (seemingly with Maketoys as a whole)

So we're getting Defensors and Deathsaurus' (sauri?), but not from the companies I want them from

I\'m so happy with planet x\'s grimlock I don\'t even care what other companies are going to release anymore. I don\'t think there\'s a need to worry for g1 fans. There are still a ton of characters like the remaining combiners (predaking, protectobots, technobots, devastator), target masters like trigger-happy and misfire and of course the late blitzwing.  

 

Given that all their Prime molds and the God Bombers have gotten several redecos, I'd say it's very likely as long as the original mold sells good enough.

 

If Zeta did their Superion in Chug scale, I would buy it so fast....

As of right now, Hand over the Deathsuarus and I\'ll think about the Omnibots. 

 

Like a lot of others seemed to feel, for me that was kind of ...meh.

MMC Rung is pretty of cool but about 2 years too late for me. I'd have been on that like a flash a while ago, but the IDW ship has sailed for me and now that their DJD is done, I'm pretty much out. I mean, it's great for others that non-G1/non-MP is getting love, but it's not my particular jam, so ... meh for me.
XTB got a mild "huh? oh yeah that still looks nice" for Autobot Spike, but a 3D render of a non-transforming figure we saw two years ago as a 3D printed prototype? meh indeed.
The rest was a lot of "skip, skip... and skip" for me.

The only thing I really wanted to see, and was kind of surprised by, was the corpse of Maketoys being dug up, dragged into the lab, strapped onto the table, and zapped with lightning. But given their big "reveal" is re-releasing their Meteor mould with additional heads, as undersized and badly moulded as they still are, and a vague promise that "we're still working on Coneheads, we'll finish them one day" ... well, colour me unconvinced. Yet another attempt to milk that mould (or rather two more attempts with Acid Storm and Starscream) and still nothing "new" even close to a release. This seems like one final desperate gasp for air to prevent drowning, The crowd-funding were an unmitigated flop, so I'm guessing they hope to scrape together enough cash from retailer orders on two more Meteor releases to stay afloat. I can't see it happening, with Takara Starscream on the horizon, and the poor QC on the Sunstorm release of this mould... Sigh. Wish they'd just bite the bullet and produce the last two Coneheads, but my gut says they simply don't have the cash for that.

Oh well, thank god for FansToys current solid release schedule keeping the collection growing.

Omnibots looked really interesting. MMC Defensor or FH Cab was runner up. Very disappointed to see no legends class stuff aside from that Superion though.
