You should be able to. Looking at the prototype seems to have pins at nearly all the joints,so you should be able to. .

 

That main finger seems fixed in that permanent curl.

That one looks to have 3 pins. Hopefully the final figure has something close to that or Onslaught’s hands, they’re some good hands.

 

Actually, they look exactly like onsloughts hands. I'm looking at mine and they look exactly the same. Thats not bad, as that'll likely save them a little money on the design

Maybe. But does it really matter? Anyway, this looks great, but I can't really afford this. After buying three parts of assaultus, I realized I can't afford this market. I don’t really wanna rag on but it kinda does. The great thing about articulated fingers is so you can have something more than fists. But when you make an index finger seperate and it’s still curled what good is it? Tones of companies do it and it seems like a simple thing to improve upon. Even though there’s probably good reasons to it like partscount cost. But if all you can emote is ‘come here’ and a trigger finger, it’s kinda just eh.

 

I'm with you. The most we've budged the standard overall is an extra pin to make the trigger finger able to point straight and on the other 3 to make them open more. TFC blew me away with having 2 sets of fully articulated hands on Techtical Commander.

People often forget how expressive hands can be and how they contribute to the tone of a character's pose. They imply intentionality or passivity, augment the expression of any personality we project onto the figure. Even the slightest thing like whether fingers can splay or not adds so much.

Of course there's a limit to how small you can make articulated hands before they just crumble apart.

 

The hands were updated and byrins render is an older design version.



You can see all the pins in every knuckle on the prototype images that were done for tfcon that have been up since last year.

Oh thats not what I meant. Just the idea that the hands are a copy off of onslought. I actually really love expressive fingers. My favorite pose is usually the command pose

When will this come out? This figure really has gotten my attention.

 

No word on a release date. It just exists for now. I'd expect if this is an actively worked on project, probably 2nd half of 2021 at least.
