If they'd included a sliver of yellow sticker to put on the bit of red when swapping shins between them, then yeah I'd fully agree with you. Moving the head over is a simple swap. Can get your MP-39 pretty damn close, apart from the blue windows.

Who the hell is Spinout? And why should I care? Especially when we haven't seen any signs of Masterpiece Jazz, Hoist, Mirage, or Trailbreaker.

He's a well known Diaclone staple way back and held in high regard by some collectors FYI, that's who. Re other Masterpiece characters not being made yet. Why sound so entitled? Lol. You've got 3rd party options. Go buy them. ;)

He's also the original Car Robot in the Diaclone line. So the first figure from Diaclone that was used as a basis for the Transformers. He also has the distinction of being the first car to robot transforming toy.

Exactly this. So you could say that he's officially the very first Transforming robot that kick started the Legendary Diakron line. And was the first distinctive toy to car bot ever designed by the highly revered toy Godfather Kojin Ono san. That's why he's an important and highly respected toy.
@ ppl who aren't half assed bothered learning about the historical importance of WHY this red Countach is significant to the MP line.

He's THE first Transformer toy that all others are descended from. Before Prime, before Jazz, before Mirage---there was a red Countach that looked a lot like Sunstreaker.

I was hoping this was going to lead to a Trailbreaker announcement, so you could line up Red countach,Black, vanette. And Blue Hilux next to each other like the original promo. Still time, I guess they decided Starscream was a bigger bang for the buck.

we get repaints like this because they help fund the MP line, requiring no new moulds

They don’t “take” slots from a new mould, they help fund it

Takara is just jerking us around, there was no need for a new Starscream, MP-11 is just fine

Square One is under-rated. I've learned a LOT of neat stuff from them recently. (and like many "G1 since the beginning, and came here from Alt.Toys.Transformers" know-it-alls, I thought I knew it all, when it comes to G1----but I've found a lot of stuff I didn't know, at Square One)

I REALLY hope we either get either a Deepcover announcement soon or a new Lambor mold with new hopes for him. Really wanna see the true "all Lambos" shot
