I kept wondering where issue #4 is, there has been like more than 2 months since the last issue. Remember the  time when comics came out the same day every month? Not sure why IDW cannot keep schedules.
Curious how they will put this all back in the bag with Grimlock again buried in the Savage Land, Megatron back on the Ark deactivated and Thrust and co back on Cybertron forgetting this ever happened? I assume the black hole Megs can open will take a part in this.

Too bad the story is lame.

Who cares about seeing brainwashed Autobots and Decepticons? It just feels empty and lifeless when we see familiar faces not in control of themselves. I had the same problem with Regeneration One and the zombie Decepticons. I do like seeing cameos, but #3 let me down. This artwork looks good, but the story is not good. If Furman wanted to use these Autobots, he could have shown us what they were doing on Cybertron. The original comic book said their minds were copied from a group of Autobots, but we never see what happened to the originals. That would have been an interesting story.

To write a story that has unfulfilled potential?

This book is definitely for me. This is the kind of book I want more of. That doesn't mean its all good though. I will criticise the parts that I don't find satisfying. It could have been so much better, but Furman's gotta Furman.

But your criticizing the premise that a ship made drones of the bodies that were laying around in it while protecting their brains and sparks. So you're not supposed to be emotionally invested in those bodies.

Yep. Art and story have been fantastic. I'm disappointed this isn't running for a few more issues. I would have enjoyed seeing more of Furman's writing and the art/coloring by the Guidi/Bove team.

Yeah, '84 was better when it was focussed on Cybertron. The Earth scenes are a waste of time and page space.

Speak for yourself, all of this is top shelf.
I'll take all this over the ongoing anyday!

Some of them might be mindless, but the Coneheads and Grimlock arn't.

I mean, I would too, but being better than the ongoing is a spectacularly low bar to clear.

This is the only IDW series that I've been investing in the last 2-3 years.

....And could be the last for another 2.

LOVED the first two issues but #3 actually snapped my suspension of disbelief. Too many coincidences and explanations for things we don't need explained, more heavy Grimlock focus....such a shame as it started SO well. Here's hoping for a tidy wrap-up, at least. Also a shame it's not a longer series. With so many things to achieve this has felt really rushed.

But I am enjoying this forum's continued disparagement of both Livio Ramondelli and the Ongoing title. Please do keep flinging those particular piles of poo, chimps.

I'm hoping so as well, but even if it's not completely tidy I think it's likely that if the reception for this is positive (which it is) they'll do another series down the road so it will be ok.

Do we really have to do this every fucking time? Jesus Christ on a stick. If some of the folks here had their way, every transformers comic would look more or less the same. And thank goodness IDW doesn't listen to them.
