I'll probably do the same. The lightbar assembly needs one more hinge so the roof rack can hinge down without the lightbar.

 

While the backpack still looks like a mess, you guys are making him grow on me....

 

I actually did this to mine.




I cut the mount for the light bar so that it can pivot separately from the section of roof rack. If you do this, cut carefully- I went too far on the right side and cut off the light bar completely. And slashed my finger too.

 

First of all, OUCH! Second, this is an interesting mod, I'll look into trying it. Nice work.

 

It's not bad, in person. Once you get it secure, it ain't going anywhere. I despise the shoulder rack, though.

Tried the @I Am James rack fold and I am a big fan.
I agree it cleans up the whole package quite a bit better, and much more securely than the official position, the looseness of which did bother me before.

I've been messing around with mine and for the most part, he's an awesome figure. The only thing (and this might have been discussed already, I haven't had a chance to look back at all the post just yet) but the left side light on his shoulder doesn't want to sit properly like the right side. I position it and it keeps wanting to left up off the left shoulder. I do wonder if the rack on mine might be warped slightly but I can't see anywhere it is.

 

Any ideas how I’ve seen this on Mercari for cheaper (lowest so far was $55 & $10 shipped)

It's a fully repainted (inside and out) UFO Annular Trailer.

 

He desperately needs more paint. I spent the weekend detailing his face, waist, and legs and he's much improved for it. I didn't bother painting the inside of the door panels since they're "kibble" - maybe I'll paint them at some point but my main focus was just on taking care of the wasteland of green on his thighs and shins.

 

Anyone ordered from TFS? I paid off the balance request but yet to hear when he will be in stock with them. Other UK retailers are getting him in this week

You don't have to open the flaps if you disengage the knee joint to get a double joint.
