But why? The main use of clear plastic is to show internal detail or to allow for lightpiping, neither of which is applicable here. The other use is as simply an aesthetic choice but in this case it's counter to the cartoon style the toy is meant to evoke. It's a weird choice.
Cartoon accurate MP toys disagree with you To each their own, but to me clear plastic windows have always looked a lot better than painted on windows. Take JRX and Rail Racer for instance. The former looks a lot more premium IMO. Since all WFC cars have clear plastic windows, Jazz would stick out like a sore thumb if he didn't match them. As for having a clear plastic visor in robot mode, this would require at least one additional plastic part, which the budget would probably not allow.
If you are wondering what changed the answer is many laws and how closely car companies paid attention to their IP on toys. -ZacWilliam, in the 80s it was perfectly normal to sell toy replicas of real vehicles without licensing them, now it would get you sued into oblivion pretty quick.
14? Why not 4? If it is supposed to be anime accurate, this is not. This is completely stupid. They pretty much made the perfect Jazz and then defaced it with the wrong number. This is the reason why I miss Takara releases with premium paint apps. They were always more attentive to details.
The amount of times people have explained this and yet you still go on this unnecessary rant, they can't use 4 as it would end up being too close to the actual licensed car, same with how Smokescreen uses 80 now. The 14 is literally his diaclone number and I think that's a fun reference, please read previous posts before you blow a gasket again.
Big buddy, already explained. I know it can be frustrating. Just wait for the official decals from Ocean Designs to improve it. Should fans have to fork out such? Well, if the fig means a lot for you then spend or you can just take Jazz as he is or just don't get him.
Thank you for the reply. I will have to check out Ocean Designs. The other guy who replied does not realize many of us have other things to do besides read 170+ pages of posts hoping the 4 vs 14 thing might be explained. I appreciate you taking the time to point me in the right direction to get this figure looking right.
I'm uploading my blinged up Jazz PotP. Toyhax also does great work but I used Ocean Designs for this. They are surface applied decals (you rub it on the fig as compared to Toyhax's direct apply). Be warned Ocean Designs has a fragile qualitiy to their products (like that for model toys). Since Jazz is ETA of Feb 2021, maybe a month or two after?
Dont start getting arsey he calmly told you it was on the same page and you could scroll up, think about what you say and could read before being rude to someone for trying to be helpful.
Don't reference me then tell me to stay in my lane when I correctly call you out on your passive aggressive bs, please take your L and walk away.
A notable flaw, but besides that, its a rad figure, and hey, at least the feet aint as bad as ironhide who just looks like he's sleepin and his feet are dangling off the bed
I see absolutely nothing wrong with the alt mode and the feet placement. As has been mentioned many times already, they look like the ground effects/rear bumper of the actual car.
Yeah this. Jazz is based off a race car and because of that there's some design excuses thst can be conveniently factored in.
it doesn’t matter either way. 5 more figures will be revealed by the time jazz is out that people will complain about
