Crazy how they are both the same model of Countach but Spinout's alt mode looks better. Could be the real world black fender flares.
I think the front section of 39 is smaller than that of 12, among other things it makes the altmode look a lot slimmer.
I need to get my mind out of the gutter. I read the instagram username as soundwave scat, until I saw the watermark in the images. Figure looks pretty great!
That difference definitely makes Spinout better compared to other red Sunstreakers. But I think it’s what also sold me hehe.
Oh good, I'm not the only one who saw that. Aw, I was hoping for the Autobot logo on the hood to be a sticker so I could make it a clean car. Not a big deal and I'm actually glad I didn't decide to cancel my pre-order now.
I just want to say, I'm really loving how Hasbro and Takara have started integrating character decos that were originally Diaclone-exclusive into general toylines and actually giving them some semblance of an identity. They're still effectively Red, female Tracks, Police Sunstreaker, yellow Sideswipe and so on, but it's nice to see that representation. Plus, they're good generics if nothing else.
MP-12 has the more accurate back half overall, this has the more accurate front half. For alt-mode. (Spinout's rear exhaust diffuser grille thing is definitely more accurate though) They are actually trying to both portray the exact same car, down to the serial number. Neither is spot on, as Sideswipe is missing the black fenders and lower bumper but has the periscope area painted black when it shouldn't, while Spinout of course has a chrome spoiler. Neither has the black spoiler pylons. (and actually, the underside of the spoiler itself is black, not just in shadow) (and if they were alternators, the interior should be a deep tan, almost camel color, not the more common beige-sand color)
why do you think the logo on the hood isn’t a sticker? for now I think the one on the robot mode chest is a tampo, and there are four insignia on the sticker sheet, so I think one of them was applied to the hood. there’s two little ones you can apply to the hood and/or foot, a la G1 Sunstreaker, or the bigger ones that I guess can be applied on the hood and... on the chest?
Just noting for those who missed it, the photo of the instruction sheet shows that the six red stickers are for MP-39 Sunstreaker, NOT Spinout. This allows people who have MP Sunstreaker to be able to make it even more Gen1 Toy accurate, with red shoulders and red rear wheel covers. Check the first lot of photos that were posted, of the toy still in the plastic tray and the box - there are no stickers applied and there is no allegiance symbol on the car mode, but there is one on the robot's chest. .
I'm not a fan of Spin's noggin, but the Lambo mode looks good overall. Seeing Spin next to Swipe in their Lambo modes solidifies even more that MP Swipe REALLY needs a V2.
