Two of most heavily armed big (green) guys on either side, I think Hound vs Brawl would be a good hypothetical battle.

In a random encounter with no plot armor, backup, or time to prepare, who would win based on their own merits?

 

Hound swept a bunch of KSI Drones in Hong Kong and fought face to face with Megatron in TLK.

Brawl had his shoulder cannons, arm blades, etc. ripped off from the moment he transformed and never recovered from there.

I think Hound wins this one. Though in Brawl’s defence, he soaked a lot of damage an average Decepticon wouldn’t be able to sustain.

 

Hound. Brawl would be able to take an immense beating, but Hound seems faster on his feet and has waaaaaayyyyyyyyyy more guns. And a cigar bullet for when he runs out of ammo. And grenades. And a knife. Brawl didn't seem to be moving very fast, more just soaking up damage until he finally went down. So Hound gets my vote.

 

Brawl looked very resistant,but the fat hound is a truly warrior,I think he could beat it.

 

Two green Transformers made of many layers of metal. The initially misanthropic and loyal-to-Prime Ogrebot who fights even after he's all of his ammo vs. the DeShrekticon tank who walks again after getting Shrekt by the Ogrebots, only for Broganbee's Onionzooka to pierce the layers of his Spark, putting him into eternal rest in the Great Swamp Beyond. Consequently, they both have tenacity.

It's a tough battle, but I gotta go with the fat ballerina who takes scalps and slits throats, for the agility reasons mentioned here.

 

I give it to hound for the reasons already listed here.

 

Hound would go guerrilla warfare Rambo-style on Brawl who's basically a walking non-stop machine bent on continuously firing missiles.

But if I had a pen and paper; I could obviously change the battle outcome.

 

Hound seems like he's got much more combat experience and is also tougher.

 

In the movies, Hound. In reality, Brawl.

 

Brawl easily. It took ironhide, jazz, ratchet, half of the military, and bumblebee to kill him. Hound by comparison got one shotted by megatron and dosent have much armor

 

Hound fought off a bunch of grunts, Brawl took on 4 Autobots and died a soldier.

 

How about Hound versus Ironhide?

 

I'd say ironhide would take that by a landslide, they are equally mobile I'd say but ironhide survived being bombed at the end of rotf which would presumably make him much more armored than hound considering he was taken down by a group of vehicons. Plus ironhides heavy armors blew through mixmaster and knocked out megatron in the prequel game, however hound has much more versatility in weaponary and seems to be more street smart so it would be close.

 

That is because TLK Megatron is far more stronger than any Megatron except TF1 Megatron, Brawl wouldn't stand a chance against TLK Mega.

 

Brawl would lose to tlk megatron but he sure as hell wouldnt go down to one shot.

 

To be fair, Hound tanked a direct fusion cannon blast. And lived. Not many can attest to that. Sure, it downed him, but he wasn't out. Hell, he reappears later looking none the worse for wear.

 

We dont really know how powerful that fusion cannon is though considering that's the only time he shot anyone with it besides grimlock, whom it didnt phase and a tired and saddened optimus and even then it just knocked him down.

 

I'll give Brawl 2 shots from Megatron's fusion cannon before he goes down.

 

I believe that Jazz was able to take the fusion cannon blast point blank in the first film and survived. He did end up being knocked off his feet as a result of the blast, which allowed Megatron to catch him off guard and pick him up. We all know what happened next  

Optimus also took Megatron’s cannon at point blank in the Forest Battle, which caused Prime to get knocked back several feet and lose a tooth (or bolt? Do TFs even have teeth?). However, he quickly got back up and took on the three of them.
