    Fansproject still alive?

Do you think they might do anything new in the future?

I wouldn't count on it, Ages Three and Up probably had a hell of a time getting the owner of Fansproject to get off his ass for this.

    @OptionZero @Wh33l JcK

not to rain on your parade, but It’s not really fansproject doing this. A3U wanted to do a full set instead of leaving it at just the one FP did back in 2014 or so. So they worked out some deal with whatever is left of FP, did their own work on the color schemes, and now they’re actually finishing the set (the other 3 limb bits were done mid to late 2018 and mid 2019).

fansproject has shown no signs of life, unless you count the “warehouse find” figures some stores are getting in stock now (and selling at substantial discount).

I mean the guy who designed for Fansproject in their heyday (including this toy) now works for Maketoys and Action Toys so I wont expect much from them anymore

This does look very good. Thinking back to my original version though and why I sold it.

I just really, REALLY wish MakeToys would finish their Shattered Glass Quantron.

Obvious sarcasm aside, that did seem to be what the description was eluding to.

Am I the only one who is still waiting for a Fansproject inspired G1 Sandstorm release?

Well I'm happy FP's life support machine is still on and they have finally finished this set of repaints. Great news for those who have been collecting them I guess.

As some one who's always been an FP fan I really wish they would get their shit together. They could easily re-release these guys as a gift set similar to their Monstructor box set and I'd buy them but even better would be seeing some new toys.... Just nothing like that "other" classics prime armour. City Commanded has aged but now I look at it and it's kinda charming. The newer armour that tried and failed for a Power Master look should be an example of what not to do. Also finish the Head Masters...

Its not, this is purely A3U's doing.

I still have the original release on my shelf. I'm assuming its next to impossible to get the G2 limb bots, though that color scheme still sears my eyes.

I hope you get one, it still holds up today in any collection. :)

Props for completing the set. Years on but at least it's done.

Yeah A3U released the first of the three new limb bots middle of 2018. Glad that they decided to finish it all out but I still think it has taken some of the charm away from the original one-off repaint FP did. Before he was an oddball figure, now he’s just part of a G2 combiner set.

at any rate, I think people just need to give up on fansproject. This project was started over two years ago by A3U and FP was basically dead then. Titans Return did them in I think.

It's amazing that this set got produced - ánd finished - at all (and that's most likely just due to a3u's ties with the owner).

I am super happy to finally finish this next year. They'll go nice with the Generations Selects G2 Megs and Sandstorm (or...maybe I should pull a 'Japanese G1 Continuity' recon and display them with Super Megatron).

Depending on the price, I could see myself going in on this guy, but I think they will be asking way more than I will be willing to pay.
