Paleotrex looks rad as a big sword. Love the robot head as the pommel. I'm not really into BW or Beast-formers in general but I like the idea a lot. If this looked more bot-inspired to mix into my CHUG displays, I'd be all over it. Might still pick up some "fossilizers" just to Monster Hunter-up a bot or two for their own display.

EDIT: The half-hearted dry brushing looks like poop. Take that comment as literally as you'd like.

Maybe times changed since when i was a kid, but that is a mistake i couldn't make. Not even when i was 5.

Also, there are instructions, and i guess kids will most likely get the cheaper figures (like vertebreak) first. And unless they spend time on the internet searching for images of robots that are far to be found in toy stores, they will probably not even expect to get a partsformer

Out of curiosity, why do you feel this way? What is it that you prefer?

I love that the fossilizers look like they popped right out of a sub-line from the original beast wars line

Okay, I was already on board just for the novelty factor, but this looks like it'll easily be the best iteration of this play system across the entire trilogy. And dear god... I think they might have finally sold me on getting duplicates. Just so I can recreate some of the absolutely METAL combinations in those photos.

Seriously, some of these look like something Doomguy should be brutalizing in his most recent games. And if how these monstrosities look is any indication of their personalities, Kingdom's incarnation of the Beast Wars is gonna be a fucking bloodbath.

I say that Paleotrex looks amazing. He is the coolest figure of the bunch. *Insert Obvious Robocop line here*
Though, I have 1 thing I need to know: Will he get a metallic redeco? He would look AMAZING in metallic colors.

Though I have just realized something about Paleotrex from watching JobbyTheHong's Masterpiece Dinobot review. Paleotrex partsforms like how Dinobot transforms.

Technically his tail partsforms, but I am referring to the location of where the parts go. His arms are from the dino legs, the legs are from the torso, and the dino head appears on the robot torso
I guess, but the deco I am thinking of is more Michael Bay Dinobot rather than Transmetal.

How dumb do you think kids are?

My son is three and figured out the difference between a modular bot and everybody else.

Because regular figures don't pop apart like modular bots. If met with even a little bit of resistance most kids will stop there. The few bots of his he has broken were mostly BotBots and that's because those joints are sometimes tight and that plastic much softer than the typical bot.

I mean, doesn't mean you can't do both. Especially if you're going with Toy-accurate Movie Dinobots.
