Sounds fun, but under no circumstances should a damaged KARR be repaired at the end of the story unless he is also reprogrammed to lose the "self preservation at all costs" programming. That's just asking for trouble. I get that one wants to demonstrate that the Autobots are the good guys, but they're not *stupid*.

 

Given that the self-preservation is probably in his OS, I don't think it is removable. Besides, if some group has that interest of protecting him and allowing him to be who he is, he probably wouldn't be that evil. His programming would probably say that it is an optimal situation and that as long as he is protected, he would probably stay at Knight Industries and maybe K.A.R.R. could help with the patrols. Imagining Michael Knight riding inside of K.A.R.R. to make sure he doesn't go out of control while K.I.T.T. is able to take a break from time to time is a bit weird to think about. And considering that he is out to protect himself at any cost, his protection of himself is a bit useful for the Autobots. Just a little reprogramming with some restraints could turn him into one of the most powerful allies that either Knight Industries or the Autobots have ever had. These were just my assumptions from scanning the wiki and listening to people talk about Knight Rider and just a basic conceptual framework for a story with Transformers X Knight Rider.

 

I'm inclined to agree it probably can't be removed (or Wilton Knight would have done so rather than put him in storage in the first place). That said, I really do think KARR is irredeemable, and needs to be destroyed.

 

I am ok with KITT and KARR being headmasters, both looking like Michael knight (one has a mustache, lol) one has a red visor, the other has a yellow visor.

What I really want to see is just like how ectotron has mp10g, then KITT and KARR could have FLAG and Goliath.

 

I actually got a Walmart in-stock alert for this in my inbox ~6 hrs ago but when I clicked on it an hour after I got the e-mail, it was OOS. Curious if anyone else got the same or saw it open up for preorder/purchase.

 

I have been thinking "who should they remold into KITT and KARR?" Given that they look practically the same (or at least similar), a similar mold for the both of them should work. KITT is a Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. The only Trans Am that exists in the Transformers lore that could work is Runamuck, though the Earthrise mold wasn't exactly a Pontiac Firebird. So, either have them be a remold of KITT, or give them a new mold.

 

if we get an Earthrise or Kingdom Tracks, that would probably be an ideal remold.

 

Have the FLAG semi transformer into Devin Miles,lol.

Just received and read the first issue; love it!!
It’s borderline perfect and has everything I could want and more!

I'd happily take a recolor of G1 Windcharger, who was a Firebird Trans Am.

(If admittedly a super-deformed one, and a mite smaller than modern fans seem willing to accept)

 

I know this is in the Gigawatt feed but someone should get on the horn to Hasbro and tell them about the interest for a Knight Rider/Transformers mashup. I can't image the Knight Rider IPO license would be nearly as expensive as GB, Back to the Future, or Top Gun.

 

The legs look a lot better, but he should get weaponizer parts attached to the bottom of the feet, to make it look nicer. Otherwise he has no visible feet. I'll try and play around with different feets later.

Yeah I randomly got an in-stock alert for the exclusive numbered one as well, since I had signed up for it way back when they went up, back before the bots got them. I saw it almost immediately and it was already gone even then. Might have just been a glitch/blip.

Yes! That is exactly what I was wondering. By the looks of it, the knees seem pretty limited with this configuration. Then again the knees already looked limited. Definitely needs some feet...
