I feel like the skeleton partsforming bothers me less than, like, Brunt or Six Gun since a bag of bones dismantling and magically re-assembling seems more in line with the goofy, borderline whimsical idea of a skeleton Transformer over a regular Transformer doing the same.

 

Reminds me of this figure.

 

Really? Nothing magical or odd about a robot being disassembled and reassembled over and over again. Just ask C-3PO.

Oh my! These pictures remind me of Kremzeek’s review. So many options. And now I want more of these. Silver, black, Gunmetal, yeah even that white and metallic blue scheme could be sweet. Metallic reds or pearl even? Yes please. Yup, the new modulators...bring em on. I’ll play.

These Fossilizers are one of the best thing to come out of the line in a while. Also, our first original characters since CW.

What about Smashdown, Pteraxadon, Terror-daxtyl, Enerax, Sheeldron, Trenchfoot, Slitherfang, Soundbarrier, Heastroke, Heartburn, Fangtron, Dazzlestrike and Doublecross?

 

Too many of this guy, too few of beast megs

 

i would prefer show characters or the missing season 1 predacons over fossilizers i am not against new characters while they dont interfer with the more important ones

 

I kinda figured this would happen, but yeah. Those guys are cool too. Because I could probably also dig through the Micromasters for new guys, but the Fossilizers (like the trio of CW limb bots) were given a more prominent spot given their price point.

 

The Fossilizers do look cool, and the sword made of bones is the coolest thing I've seen them do so far, but given the price increase, the fact that I'll be buying two mainlines instead of one, and that I doubt the exclusives are gonna slow down, I need something to lighten the financial load.

 

Nah, fair enough. I mean, it's not like those little figures had much personality. Still, Slitherfang at the very least deserves an honorable mention for being the first Quint affiliated character in a long time.

 

I'm actually fearful for the safety of figures like Vertebreak. If a kid gets a Fossilizer like Paleotrex, they'll know the skeleton ones pull apart to rearrange and turn into weapons. But Vertebreak doesn't. Despite looking like a Fossilizer, he's just a normal figure. It could end badly.
