Not really concept art of the toy, that just looks like the G1 cartoon model

This is exactly why I give passes on backpacks for the fembots because the original toon cheated heavily to get them from their fembot figure to their various alt modes.

Yup, she even has metallic hair "buns".

It's not just you, her face always looked "off" to me. Like they tried too hard to make her look like a human female that it's a little uncanny, in comparison to the more simplified faces of male Autobots. Plus her often having really light colors on her face makes her look almost dead.

Looks more like concept art for a possible R.E.D. figure to me.

I kinda love how this is essentially just a digital version of the Floro Dery concept art. Just kinda shows their current design philosophy

I’d much rather have good designs that can transform rather than these super humanoid female designs. It really doesn’t look good at all to have those massive backpacks on them while the rest of the robot mode is covered in warped fake versions of the parts from vehicle mode.

I just hope that now the people who want super screen accuracy can be fine with the female bots that have been released, and hopefully in the future Hasbro tries more designs that are a bit more practically shaped. It’s not like a design has to look exactly like a metal version of an anatomically correct human woman in order to be conveyed as female.

So the "concept" is just copy the G1 model and then have the toy designers throw it out the window?

It's not odd. Many figures released so far have had concept art posted after the fact.

Arcee is being rereleased in Kingdom. I think she’s slightly repainted, but I could be wrong.

Does this actually qualify as new design work? It's literally just G1 Arcee, down to the tiny shoulder kibble. There's nothing here that takes into account the details or physical reality of the Earthrise toy.

I'd call the concept for the toy itself the Earthrise design. This "concept art" is just a reproduction of the animation model from the movie, as posted on the first page of this thread.

How in the HELL is this concept art for Earthrise Arcee? Could it possibly be this is actually concept art for an upcoming RED figure?

I don\'t mean to be condescending, but you guys do know what concept art is right?  I understand there is a precedent of artwork with refined designs well into the process of design development, but that isn\'t an actual requirement at all.  I mean, its been stated already that the robot mode figure was the priority for arcee and this would be one of the works used as inspiration.
