OOF! That's no crack, that's one heck of a gouged scratch right out of the paint to make it visible on the underside of the clear painted roof panel, and, well, after that one guy got sent a commiseratory Dirge & Ramjet 2-pack for his woes, I'd say give it a punt - they might even send you the only ER Thrust in the UK! :p

Received my Netflix Bee from ID today.

For a figure that I wasn't initially taken with [Cliffjumper] I sure as hell have ended with 3 iterations of the mould. Might as well get Bugbite and go all in.

The good? Bumblebee's tied with Hubcap for best joints. Or Cliffjumper was shit. Because Bumblee's shoulders are not painted, tabbing them for transformation is easy and painless. Also, because Bumblebee's...crotch is painted, that whole waist joint is stiffer. Unless I've missed it, this is also the first time the instructions point out that the black extension from his bazooka actually has a tab that clips on the shoulder joint.

The bad? I don't think this mould was planned as Bumblebee initially, but rather shoehorned in. Tolerances are very poor on his windshield chest tabbing in to the hood; you pretty much have to really force the tabs backwards to clip in. Similarly, his back...unlike Cliffjumper and Hubcap, it doesn't have any strong clipping points on the sides, so it's relying a lot of aligning it just right with the hands and trying to smudge it all together. It doesn't hold well. It's got some blue tabs which loosely clip on a part but...yeah. Mine just has a gap.

Count me in on the people that got a balance request from comics and coctails for the Prime 2 pack. Not paid just yet...

They promised a genuine alternative to WWE, made mention of this often during the initial hype statements. Things like "we're going to be doing a realistic sports based presentation, we'll focus on in ring action instead of scripted soap opera segments" were stated.

As a lapsed fan of modern wrestling, I was intrested by that.

What they have done instead is an amateur hour version of WWE style with even less focus on wrestling that makes the last 18 months of WCW look like the peak of the Attitude or Hulkamania Eras.

Instead of using his experience to teach the younger generation something Chris Jericho has lowered himself to their level and is now a bloated shadow of what he once was and is just as bad at comedy as he is singing....too much comedy and constantly winking at the audience is a big reason AEW can't grow an audience beyond their weekly average.

At it's height wrestling worked because people got into the characters and were able to suspend their disbelief and get into the action because it at least somewhat resembled an actual contest.....all the overly contrived gymnastics in every match every week makes that impossible.

Tony Khan appears to have got all his wrestling knowledge from reading a newsletter published by a man who's never worked at any level within an actual wrestling company. Which to me says it all about his being in charge of the creative direction.

They have numerous old timers on the payroll with decades of combined experience but it seems like they have no influence and are just there because Cody has some respect for proper wrestlers particularly if they were friends with his father.

So far the only thing they seem intrested in is pandering to the same fans that tune in every week..... surely the goal of any business is to grow beyond whatever their initial niche following is?

@Skjalddis - are you still wanting ER Bluestreak?

    F6D9BB42-2924-4D5E-BBD9-241DA666E308.png

I had an email earlier from SAF that they have dispatched Bluestreak to me. I received my copy from Comics&Cocktails about 10 days ago so this is surplus for me. I knew the figure was a tough one to get so rather than just cancel I let the order run to offer up in here.

Let me know if you are still interested?

Ah, no, sorry, it's not confirmed or anything. Just a safe bet, thanks to Cyclonus not having a design that really lends itself to being retooled into other characters. The Universe mould was mostly just churned out as different-coloured Cyclonuses, and where they tried different characters it just looked like Cyclonus cosplaying. And of course the CW one was itself a rather unconvincing remould.

I think the most egregious example of show-accurate lavender was the Takara TR Galvatron, which was so pale you'd think it had been left in the wash too long. As for this Cyclonus, I'll happily pick one up as the lavender isn't as bad as it could have been, but I'd still rather hold out and wait to see if there's a better option down the road.

Now watch me inevitably eat my words as it turns out to be a Target-exclusive double pack with a horribly-coloured Scourge that is impossible to get in Europe anyway.

No, I got that. It's just that, as I say, I've always seen that design as just an interpretation of the regular Cyclonus head, so for me it will fit in perfectly well for both Season 3 Deceptishenanigans and Lost Lightventures. I just wish there was a better Tailgate out there, one that wasn't as bland and shellformery as the Hasbro T30 mould or as crazy-spensive as the Maketoys one.

Got to have Danger mouse in there :)
last time that happened to me I thought to myself “oh god, what have I said now!” Turns out it was people replying to my question of how many Taco Bells were in the UK.

But the question remains, were they two finger or four finger? Or maybe Chunkies?

    I'd buy it!!

Ah, cool. Yeah, Galvatrons have been a pretty bad example too. It's a shame as that g1 toy shock/cyc colour is soooo nice.

Oh jeez - good luck. Fingers crossed for you.

Penny Crayon for the Green Lantern slot?

Turns out Fantastic Max was a US/UK Co-production?! The things you learn down the nostalgia rabbit hole!

Alan Moore could have a field day with that League, shame he doesn't watch telly!

See, now I'm thinking about a general 80's and 90's cartoon ensemble, with Bravestar and Captain Planet as the odd couple.

These sorts of things get weird fast...
