Do we know if there is packaging this item comes in? That may assist in the customs process - unless it is an old trick used to camoflage firearms in the past? I'm also seeing lots of plastic - the weight difference I bet would be another indication its not a real firearm.
Short version, it might be a tedious process unlike MP Megatron who ships i n robot mode. I wonder how A E will pull this off?
Does Japan Post get involved in an intermediary capacity if it's shipped DHL (which I believe AE might be going through because EMS is shut down)?
According to the banner on AE's front page it is. The explanation I've seen is that it piggybacks on passenger flights and alot of countries are restricting travel to/from America over various virus statistics/reports.
Sweeeeet only noticed this with today's Figure king pics! Love that it has some Megatron tranformation split lines, not just a straight replica gun. Also cool how they say it is based on a .45 cal version of the P38 so it can have a more toon accurate thicker barrel - this is the attention to detail I expect from the world of MP squirt guns! This will be mine! As long as it makes it from AE through Norwegian customs, that is!
Never say die I say! I tried another proxy shipper (2nd) and got this: How can AE ship theirs out of Japan? Unless they have proxy outside of Japan? Weapons or facsimile of such.
Do you want lawsuits? Because this is how you get lawsuits. The closest Hasbro could get to a gun Megatron being released in the US would be a Nerf gun like Classics Megatron with an orange barrel.
