Looks like Kingdom Prime does have one difference from Earthrise Prime. It looks like the silver stripe below his windows is now white.
I'm actually in support of the reduced plastic. The box art looks better than ever and now there is less plastic that could potentially get in the ocean. Having to undo zip ties doesnt bother me one bit. Higher end transformers and 3P have always come in boxes without a window so it isn't really a low quality thing. The small window still lets you see what you're buying anyway. The current packaging saves money (so they can use the money for making their designs really good like they have been recently) and helps the environment. Its really a win win. One thing that might be improved is that they could use rolled up paper ties instead of zip ties so that its even less waste and even cheaper to make. But admittedly those this ARE a pain to remove.
Less plastic waste as always good in my books! I hope that ER Prime is not the BBTS secret figure sold with Beast Megatron...
His height is on his description listing on websites where you can order him. Bbts for examples You don’t have to try and figure it out from a scrunched photo
I dig the new packaging a lot, lots of space for some gorgeous artwork and a unique color palette to help it stand out on the shelf. I’m all for ditching as much plastic as we can but I do appreciate still having a window. I’ve been a collector long enough to know if you have a product that can’t be seen from the exterior packaging then western collectors will absolutely take it as an invite to steal pieces and swap figures. It is, we’ve known they were wavemates for months.
Have they been accurate with their heights in the past? Because a 8.50 inch leader megatron sounds too good to be true in 2020, the year of shrinking everything.
Wow, Warpath could fit in a box 1/4 the size. With the plastic insert gone and other cost reducing measures, we should be getting a $2 retail drop. Shrinking the packaging could also reduce per unit shipping costs by a lot. Current container rates are $6500 per container, thanks to so many ships being taken offline. The problem is that packaging size means more to MSRP than what goes in the box.
Is trying to figure it out through a low quality photo and that’s been a distorted any better? and they haven’t been shrinking them. They’re basing them on the scale guide
I think it does. You have a choice, looking at the information that’s been officially given to a figure in it derailed listings or trying to resize a distorted low res image and figure out the size of the background grid it’s laying on. Something a crazy toy obsessed person would do with way too much time on their hands all for the sake of trying to determine whether or not you’re going to buy a toy that you’re probably already going to get. Here’s a hint: it’s the first choice.
Again, never answered my question. Have they or have they not been accurate with their sizes in the past, it was a simple question.
No. The height listed is the average / standard height of the price point. A good example is deluxes. Both Siege Ironhide and Earthrise Cliffjumper (as well as every other deluxe, but these two illustrate the point quite well) are listed as 5.5 inches. The size listed is never the actual size.
It is the the same figure, repackaged in the new line. Similar to how Rung and the Battle Squad were in Siege but were also released in Earthrise.
