The problem we have is that us collectors are always a small % of sales compared to the toys that are actually bought by or for kids. Because the population in the States is so large, that 'small' collector market has enough volume/value of sales for Hasbro to take note of.

I've just checked my order and got between 10 -11 Nov, then the email notification popped just as I went to check my gmail!
And my US order sez 11 - 13, it could be close if Amazon UK come through!
I contemplated cancelling the US but that's too chicken-counting for me, plus paying the extra to get a spare Prowl might be the way to go given the 'Streak buck's variables!

Amazon really are the worst they just added a month to the delivery date of my Miraculous Ladybug Figures and plush, on the day they were supposed to be released. If they show up ANYWHERE else before hand I'm cancelling the order.

So is Prowl & Ironhide the only Amazon Exclusive that looks like it "might" actually show up then ?

Also while I think of it - hasanyone tried pestering Smyths about War For Cybertron Trilogy Wave two arrivedate and if they plan to put pre-orders up. ?

    --------

As for Hasbro & collectors vs Hasbro & The general public - yeah well if they don't actually distribute anything ignoring the part of their market that cares enough to pre-order things isn't good business really. It's not even just the customers they screw over they are doing it to wholesalers too - so they disapoint a whole chain of people down to the end user. That isn't the only issue I have with them though - making character cases a thing - is a paint - as it leads to the situation with Earthrise Smokescreen where he sells out before his wave mates even gets released.

The thing is, how are kids meant to buy the toys if they aren't coming out?
Stuff like G.I. Joe is almost exclusively being sold by collector shops and, as far as I know, no major toy retailer like Smyths or The Entertainer are stocking them on shelves (this goes for stuff like gen selects too).
Not only that but they seem to constantly deliver small amounts of stock or straight up not deliver it as all going off of stuff Kapow and ID has said in the past.

in the case of GI Joe i can understand that as in the UK its not been a main line popular toy for some time when there wasn't some kind of movie out, the last few attempts to relaunch sort of flopped. In the USA its far more of a cultural icon so will always have a mainstream fanbase there. SO tbh I think that GI Joe only going to the specialists actually does make sense as otherwise theyd just not shift it, the last load ended up on places like poundstretcher and poundland for ages, which to me was a plus as i was collecting them at the time ive sold most now though. - On a side note my son has nabbed a load of the older vehicles that were a tad on the shonky side or damaged off me for his fortnite figures lol. They go quite well with them.

A recent addition to this is that in their new FB news group Kapow have mentioned that they apparently got bumped to the back of the list for the MacFarlane 40K figures due to the volume they ordered, and that practice seems to be getting more and more common?! Man, who'd be a collectables retailer, eh?

You're right, but I just used Joes as an example since thats one I'm more familiar with.

Yeah I saw that, being a small independent retailer is hard nowadays. I work in a small store myself (not toys, decorating supplies) and since we typically order a smaller amount than big stores we get screwed on when it gets delivered and the the price we can sell it for.

Within 20 mins of each other just had Amazon.uk and Forbidden Planet send cancellation emails for Bluestreak.

Amazon I'm not surprised as they have been fucking useless with stuff we want all year, but the only surprise with Forbidden Planet is that they could be bothered to let me know, usually they just leave an order unfulfilled and never mention it again.

    Anyway, that's all shitty timewasting.

Club together and order it in one go - (this may be useful for all those people who are all in Norwich for example)

Weird as I just checked my Bluestreak with Forbidden Planet and it's in my account as charged and hasn't been cancelled. So they may have limited stock.

I'd 2nd that Hasbro in the UK are useless. No common figures that people want. But we can now get Studio Series (69) Devastator only £403.99 rrp

Forbidden Planet central London have a reasonable selection of Earthrise and Siege left overs - Skylinx, Astrotrain, Doubledealer, Apeface and Snapdragon, Decepticlones, Hoist, Cliff, Ironworks and the one I picked up Airwave.

And some studio series tat too.

Just had an email from Amazon uk to say Sunstreaker has been dispatched. I preordered on Thursday as it has a date of 06/11, got a couple of shorter estimates and now a dispatch note saying it'll be here tomorrow
