I’d be very happy to be wrong and get an Earth mode Red Alert to go with Inferno. Being paired with an Earth mode Sideswipe would be a very desired bonus.

Hound is the one I’m most curious about regarding his retooling from a Cybertron form to an Earth form. What changes would they need to make?

Given that they've been finally going more retro with the other Earth modes and giving us 70s/80s inspired car modes rather than modern updates like the other CHUG lines, I'd love to get him as an as-close-as-possible vintage military jeep, preferably with feet that fold up more neatly on his sides (those are the only parts I really don't like about the Siege one).

 

I'm still holding out for that Earth Sideswipe to come out someday.

Fair, I'll see which charges first, this or the two Wave 3 boys on amazon prime, and then cancel the others. EE seems to be shipping stuff out earlier than their dates say lately, right?

 

btw I know people bring up he just needs his Car roof replaced but doesn’t he need the sides of his car mode redone to include doors? Same with Red Alert who being more accurate to the toy model had door wings on his arms in the cartoon.

 

I feel Sideswipe, Red Alert and Hound all work fine as Earth modes already but I wouldn’t be opposed to actual Earthrise versions.

I am really hoping that I get another chance at the Coneheads. I was dumb enough not to preorder them originally so the Ironhide, Ratchet and Prowl sets I’m not taking any chances with.

Am I crazy? They look the same to me, apart from the paint differences and the pin sticking out farther on Bluestreak. It looks like the legs are just at slightly different angles.

Very odd, they ARE slightly different. the question is, why?

 

Nitpick but Red Alert Has Cybertron writing on him that at least needs to be converted to English.

Thanks a lot for this! I hadn't spotted that difference at the knee despite a thorough investigation that seemed to me to indicate some variation in the two designs' proportions despite looking identical at first glance, and this seals it - there's an actual moulding difference between Smokescreen & Bluestreak shin sections!

Your photo also inspired me to try something, and CAVEAT EMPTOR for anyone else that dares to try it is both a delicate operation & I cannot guarantee it will work on your copy BUT I took a nicely sharp craft knife blade to the top and front edge curve of both outside knees, and used it to carefully shave some minimal material along that surface and the corner where the outside edge meets it.

And it does seem to have helped the back ends of both of my Bluestreaks to keep together better in car mode!
There still seems to be quite some sprung tension in the car sides still but the boot section is just that bit neater and tighter.

That's only two copies it's worked on so the evidence is minimal as yet, it'll take more brave souls willing to give it a go to show whether or not it helps as a more widespread fix for those having issues with his back end staying together right.
