Yeah, considering that Hot Rod was nearly five years ago, cost in the $75 range iirc & had fewer parts and less paint, it doesn't seem excessive. Looks like Arcee might need a stand for a lot of poses, which is fine as I have a few of those clear TT stands that were released a few years ago, but I'm looking forward to when Autobots come with the stand that Dinobot and Starscream have. Hope it's a nice metallic orange!

I like all the Arcees. The MP does seem like it’s basically the T30/Legends version engineering with some minor upgrades. Will be interesting to see how much in the transformation is different once we get some reviews.

Dude, c'mon. Whatever you think of the MP (which I'm not getting as I'm happy with the MMC, incidentally) Earthrise Arcee is really not very good. At all. I was shocked by how bad she was when I got her. If you like it and you're sticking with it then sweet, good for you - but this claim is madness.
I didn’t have a problem with the pose when the toy was revealed. It was just aping my Primal pose after all (pun intended). I guess what triggered me here is that side of the box shot is usually what I think is reserved for the “action pose”, or something a bit cooler. Maybe it’s not always, I don’t have a complete collection, can’t remember what was on the side of Grapple’s. Hell I’m in that pose all the time browsing tfw EBIV every MP thread talks about “the 3P kit will fix it” but 3Ps don’t touch MPs anymore sadly. Can’t remember the last MP related thing that Dr Wu even put out. Personally the chest gaps haven’t bothered me in photos at all so I imagine I won’t even notice it in person. Sometimes real world physics has to take precedence over design. I think Arcee looks great, spot-on, fun to pose and another homerun MP as long as QC holds up. I hope she’ll be better balanced than she appears to be. The stand with Dinobot is actually a grey bare plastic, so I imagine Starscream’s will be too, and whichever orange ones they might include with future Autobots (Aerialbots, Cosmos, Powerglide?)
I get what you mean about the box not being in cohesion with your other ones. I too like to stack the few I have with the side showing. It really bugs me that MP37’s box needs to be upside down ontop of MP36’s for the sides to be the same orientation. I don’t know who c*cked that one up. Regarding the 3P add ons, I didn’t know.. that really sucks. Dr Wu made some good bits and bobs.. still need some of his humans. Arcee is pretty amazing I’m just being niggely regarding the gradient of the slope vs neck. I will need her indefinitely because Kup and Springer are on my MP grails list Man!!! Powerglide... don’t get me hyped dreaming. His spotlight episode was a childhood fav, I need him w/ his girlfriend and heart accessories

As I have yet to acquire her, you are correct. I probably shouldn’t make such a hyperbolic statement without saying it was in my opinion. It’s just, Earthrise Arcee fits all of my criteria. It’s mainline (as I don’t collect MPs, as those are too high maintenance and costly for me), retailed everywhere, and it looks pretty good in my opinion. But yeah, not a good figure. Still, while it may not be superior, the masterpiece is hardly much better, as the thrilling 30 one looks like a deluxe size masterpiece, and you’re paying $120 more. All in all, Earthrise Arcee is the best G1 Arcee, in my opinion, but I admit I have a lot of budgetary constraints, and she’s not that good otherwise.
