Sam, I envy your collecting choices. You’re far from a completionist. Will Starscream be joining your ranks this summer?

Oh my yes he will! He'll definitely become one of my 'essential' MPs, I can be sure of that already.

MP-36 Megatron, MP-52 Starscream, some form of Shockwave, and whenever we get v2 Soundwave ==> they'll definitely be my essential Decepticons.

As for the essential Autobots, we'll that still remains to be seen! :lol
MP-44 Prime, MP-45 Bumblebee, MP-51 Arcee.... would definitely get an MP-47 Hound reissue, and I'll get MP-39 Sunstreaker when they make v2 Sideswipe. For now I'm just enjoying what I have and enjoying waiting for what's still to come!

Hard to believe it's already Bumblebee v2's first birthday this month! Love the little guy more than ever! High fives to all my fellow MP-45 enjoyers!

I’ve been really enjoying this bumblebee lately. He’s got that Bee vibe in a way that MP-21 just didn’t capture. Certainly has his flaws, but once you play around with him, they definitely diminish as I’ve gotten the hang of the toy.

Yes, I was underwhelmed with him the first day or two, mostly due to me not understanding how the backpack folded up, one of my copies having sloppy paint, and his $90 price with so few accessories. After I figured out how his backpack locked up nice and tight with the help of some friends, I haven't been able to stop looking at him, posing him, and transforming him ever since. The sting of the price is long since gone & I've gotten more than my money's worth over the past year!

You know, I’ve always felt that the backpack could fold up a Little tighter, but I cannot fathom how. Tips?

The key is this rod piece and the hinge joint. To get a nice tight collapsed backpack the rod must be pulled out and extended all the way and it must be at the right angle on the hinge. Mine felt like it wasn't supposed to bend past a certain point, but it definitely is.

    Here's the wrong way...

Ah @Dean ML those energy conductors look great! One day when I get around to making newer versions I’ll definitely send them your way.

See Dean's pics for the correct orientation of the parts. Just to note: The backpack does not really "click" into place like a lock. It's more that when everything is folded up as it should be everything just gets to a point where the backpack doesn't want to release without really pulling on it. It's hard to explain. When mine is done correctly I can hang Bee from his backpack without it moving at all. I can even shake him a little and it won't release.

I mean, it was probably successful so they most likely didn’t.they have pretty much no incentive to improve.

if you want to buy something, you ought put up an ad in the WTB section on the forum. Just dropping it in a picture appreciation thread isn't going to get you as far

I’m sure TT was flooded with returns & complaints from fans & retailers. Gamerlingual said a TT rep he talked to at a show told him they were aware of the problem. MP-48, 49, & 50 have normal non-cracking plastic. I expect Arcee & Starscream will not have that issue either.

You're going to have a hard time with that. That's one of the main accessories for MP Shockwave. Most people won't sell off accessories separately since that lowers the value of the original figure. You might want to search for a complete junker MP Shockwave.
