Honestly, this is an AWESOME G1 Windblade, way better than most media half-ass inserting her in despite her alt-mode clashing with EVERY OTHER AUTOBOT. This is much nicer and quite tempting. 

 

I thought every version of Windblade had to have visible-hand-syndrome?   

 

I....kinda love this. And the way they use the shoulder mounted wheels to replicate the VTOLs of her jet alt, CLEVER. Damnit I want one and I typically NEVER buy 3P.

Because she's a jet? I don't mind it.

Totally bought. Love it, although a Nautica remold would have been better, IMO.

This does look good, even if the design and deco makes it look like TR Windblade killed Dead End and decided to wear him as armor. I like that the Headmaster looks like her TR Titan Master. That’s a nice touch.

I guess the energon went straight to her calves. Not her butt, thighs or hips.  

 

I don't get that complaint about her alt mode not fitting in with the other Autobots considering that most of them are jets too as well is freaking Dinosaurs which aren't exactly ideal disguises if you think about it. Not that I mind seeing a design of Windblade as a car like this figure is doing but still it feels silly to single Windblade out for having an alt mode that's different when she's clearly not the only one.

 

Points for creativity, it's a fun idea for a repaint, and a good take on a more G1-y version of Windblade overall. The chest/upper torso area still looks funky, but that seemed to be a problem of the mold from the getgo, not something to blame on this version.

If I was into MP-style figures, I'd definately give it a thought. I mean... how often you're gonna get a fembot figure that isn't just a pile of kibble sitting on the back of a nimble body?

 

YES. I was curious about a couple, but I'm down for this one.

The PX one was nice. Proven toy and all, but I'm not all that enamored with getting the deco. And I'm having trouble getting my Blurple Grimmy to fit together right.

The Ravage, also nice, I don't need a pride of them.

But this is what I'm here for. Deco aside it's only small changes and extra bits but it's transformative. Make something fun I didn't know I wanted. And being able to tweak the pauldrons into car wings is just perfect.

 

Honestly, I'm referencing the very heavily g1 cartoon IDW comics like Transformers vs Star Trek and the Bumblebee one-off books where it is the 1984 cast +Windblade and she stands out like a sore thumb without any other Ariel Autobots.

A+ effort but not really digging the head. Yeah I know why it is the way it is but it spoils an other wise good toy.

I gotcha, I actually like her when everyone else is aligned in an art style like IDW or Cyberverse, just the hardcore nostalgia books rub me the wrong way. I view this figure as "What if we got Windblade instead or Minerva in G1"

 

Yeah the gripe about the different styles makes sense. Again sorry for the misunderstanding. Anyway I wonder if this means we can also get some more IDW femmes done in a similar fashion here? Like a Nautica for example?
