We aren’t also privy to the terms of these exclusivity deals. Perhaps like reissues of something like Redwing it’s a timed exclusive, a certain amount of time has to pass before they can offer it to again to other outlets.

Amazon, being the megastore fuckup it is , is gonna draw a ton of global attention on a preorder, so it’s likely gonna create a situation like the Seeker Elite or Siege Skywarp where they sell through their allotment relatively quickly. And with the pandemic going on, they probably have items they are far more interested in keeping in stock or just taking up any space in their warehouses, toys just aren’t a huge priority to them. By and large they haven’t ever been the best place to shop for toys, IMO, anyway.

With both seeker sets, they are packaged in a way that looks like they were meant for a general release, they aren’t marked as specific store exclusive only nor are they in the special packaging for Generations Selects. I think that might bode well for another run, even maybe as a Pulse exclusive.

I've been watching that Amazon page like a hawk for like a month waiting for this. man do I feel bad for people that finally succumbed to the scalper prices.

I wonder if this little restock could've been a small shipment from an international Amazon branch?
I only say this because, coincidentally, my Amazon Global Store UK order (which actually shipped from Denmark) was delivered the day before yesterday.
It was first delivered, from overseas, to a distribution center in CT before being relabeled and shipped on to me.

Doesn't seem too far fetched to think it may have arrived at the distribution center with a few friends.

Double-boxed (Amazon box + Hasbro shipper). Looks like maybe Amazon learned their lesson from the first shipment debacle.

 

I got the G2 Sideswipe set a week ago and it shipped in just the Hasbro shipper box (which was ruined from the rain).

 

So I've recently returned to collecting Transformers with Siege. I've pre-ordered Ironhide and Prowl, but I suspect these might get discounted for Black Friday or the Holiday season. Do Transformer Amazon exclusives generally sell out fast? I know Star Wars and Marvel exclusives tend to linger and often go on sale, but I have little experience with Transformers. I'd appreciate anyone's thoughts and opinions on this. Thanks in advance.
