Thank you for answering, I'm honestly fine with the TR version I'm just trying to figure out who else they can make for this line. We really do need a new Blaster though.

It would most likely be exo suit and he would either be like wheelie or transform

I think he won't transform, but if he does then that'll be cool

I couldn't decide between the rant thread or this thread, but I really just need to vent/rant about Kup's head again...
I just can't believe, from RotS/Generations, Titans Return, Transformers Legends, and now SS86, that with four damn versions of KUP,
they can't make one head that actually looks like his on-screen appearance???

I've seen a lot of posts about this, people speculating that it's the light, or if the chin was raised a little, it would probably be fine,
and maybe that's true to a certain extent, but really, it's just a crap sculpt! I mean, every other figure in this SS86 line, they either nailed,
of like Blurr, it's maybe not dead-on, but it's pretty damn passable.

Kup tho... I mean, yeah, looking at the on-screen model, sure he maybe has puffy areas around his eyes, and hard angular lines around his mouth,
but so does G1 Megatron, tbh, in face, their mouth/cheek areas are very similar, and Takara nailed that for his MP version, and kind of for SIEGE as well.
In fact, since we all know that TakaraTomy is aware of and probably owns several third party toys, they should have just used/modeled off of Koot,
since that's the most perfect 3D representation we have so far.

Just such a let down, and I'll probably buy it for the vehicle mode, but it could have been so much better, and it would have been so easy...

No images, but based on posability and alt-mode I'd assume it's do-able. I'm hoping I can do it with my old Chug Wreck-gar and then I can just mod the old versions head. :)

In all honesty,... I'm just glad we are getting these figures. I'll collect as much as i can that looks good of course. Though there's always going to be that character that i think wasn't done so well. So i think about that too when buying the figures i want.

Do we know what / how much else is planned for this line? I know Slag and Wreck-Gar is rumored, is there much more planned for 2021?

And with that, there aren't really many 86 characters left to do. Except for the ones already mentioned..
I've heard that Blitzwing will be getting a new figure in 2022, although its unknown if he'll be SS86

Blitzwing MIGHT get a figure no sooner than 2022, none of the leakers said he definitely is getting one

Yeah, still not getting over Kup’s head myself! Tried really hard to like it but can’t do it! Also, when standing next to Hot Rod and Blurr, Kup’s head and face looks inflated and that only makes it worse!
I guess the only thing that we can hope for is a third party company to give us a new and better one like we got with Generations Kup.

I’d take the original Sgt Kup head over this one. At least the proportions on that one were correct—just the face looked terribly constipated. This one looks weirdly stretched out.

I think Kup's head is growing on me, I didn't like it at first, but I'm okay with it now.

A few of these Studio Series 86 figures definitely have some "updated" design choices, which seems weird to me for a line that is supposed to be all about how it looked in the film. For example, the abdomens on Scourge and Jazz have a lot of angled panel line work that did not exist in the animation model or G1 toys.

Ok, serious question time for @Pixelmaster and/or @Apollux, Are SS86 figures fair game for gen selects? Thinking repaints like G2 Jazz, SG Hot Rodimus, G2 Grimlock, etc.

I don't get info on Selects/Exclusives unfortunately, however as SS generally has repaints I don't see why not.

I'm betting there'll be a Selects Junkion off of the Wreck-Gar mold when it comes. I'm just assuming he'll be able to ride himself in motorcycle mode--it's a key play feature and they do it in the film--but there's only one Wreck-Gar. So a head swap and a different chest piece and we've got Selects Scrap Iron and/or Junkheap, and in fact I'd expect one of those two at retail or retailer exclusive.
