To be fair, I don't think it's meant to be taken seriously as a "convention".

Going back to SDCC, pretty much everyone's virtual Cons has shown way, way fewer figures than they typically show in person. Hot Toys has like at least a dozen new figures at SDCC typically if not more, even though most don't get immediatle preorders. Like they had to have had Ahsoka and Maul prototype ready by this past July but they just decided not to show anything that wasn't going up for preorder literally immediately or soon after.

Mezco is just using this to keep fans a little involved and also sell some exclusives. I'm sure the Shadow Supreme Knight was going to be the NYCC in person exclusive had it happened for real.

I just opened up the regular release of Supreme knight batman, and man I’m digging it. I really liked the shadow version, but the suit on this one is so much more detailed and moves better imo. I like the heads on the shadow version for that smile and the extra paint, but this one is really clicking with me.

They’re going to have very different places in my “aging/evolution” of Batman display. I’m really appreciating how different they are.

Ya, I think you’re right. It just feels like they could’ve done more to keep people interested. Two one 12 reveals and an exclusive is a bit scant when you spend some time hyping up an “event.” At the very least some sketches of upcoming designs or some prototypes would have been a nice thing to see.

Just got a charging notice for Doc Nocturnal. Should be shipping within a week or two.

Good grief... Mezco playing catch up before Christmas with the long awaited releases?

We've got Doc. Nocturnal, Bluto and Popeye, Iron Fist, Bolt and Lockjaw, and Reeves on the list. Are there more that I forgot?

Morbius pre-orders should be around the corner or will it be delayed til next year with Ghost Rider's pre-orders along side?

    Sounds about right.
I'm thinking we'll get the Popeye/Bluto set OR Iron Fist OR the Black Bolt set, MAYBE two of them.

If you saw the D Amazing review, Nocturnal's been ready for about a month-ish. I'm guessing they've just been waiting for the manufacturing to catch up.
Between the three pre-orders, im guessing we get Iron Fist first, then after another month or two of delay we get Black Bolt and then Popeye.
Reason being, Iron Fist comes with the least original parts; mostly the head, hands & forearms, and lower legs & feet, plus costume and accessories.
Black Bolt has all of that with less accessories but almost certainly effect parts instead, plus the Lockjaw.
On the other hand, while the Popeye only adds the slicker and rain hat as new items, the Bluto is an original mold from head to toe, PLUS soft goods and accessories.

I WANT the Popeye set to be first, but I don't believe that's how things will play out.

I got charged for Popeye today, so I imagine that'll be first. I didn't realize those other ones were close to release too? Hope that ships this week. Popeye/Bluto was the first figure I finally decided to blow some points on after they stopped letting you use them on exclusives lol, brought it down to about $100 shipped.

I ordered that one via BBTS, so I imagine I'll have an extra few weeks to wait. Good to hear though.

Recently got a regular BVS Batman today for 180 (which is pretty much a steal considering he goes for 200+ on eBay) and I like him (I think he's better than the Mafex version), I grow to like him more and more I mess with him

BvS Batman is amazing. That was the figure that really got me into Mezco One:12 stuff. He's still, in my opinion, one of their best releases to date.

Though the cape on DKR Batman is still one of, if not the best soft goods capes I've seen.

Yeah, I thought he wouldn't really hold up because of how engineering for figures are better and how far they've come with their figure & their soft good and that the cloth would look baggy and "loose" fitting on him but that not the case, he holds up really good.

I didn't get Doc Nocturnal yet, but someone on FB did and posted another ad for the Slugfest Emporium. Looks like they're going to do a dozen glow in the dark skulls this time and a Game of Death Gomez! Nothing is available to buy now, but should be soon I hope.
