Well this is the last I use walmart.com, and unfortunately there's no Walmarts near me. I've attempted to order Airwave twice, first they send Ironworks, send me a return shipping label. Then ship out Hoist, and I have to mail back a second figure now.

Also the Nemesis Prime I pre-ordered day one is now on indefinite back order

So, stupid question, but the Leader-class spoiler pack. Has what that thing is been leaked? It and Bumblebee were the only things not canceled by Walmart or by me in frustration.

Wait, they will retroactively charge you for shipping if they themselves cancel some of the items you ordered?

Retailers buy these exclusives. They aren't going to spend money on some character no one wants. they want exclusive characters than fans NEED to have, pushing potential sales of other items while you're shopping for Ratchet, Bumblebee, etc. Want to complete your Head Masters collection. You needed to go to Walgreens. You'll either buy more than one or you'll buy other stuff while you're there. Hasbro funds making obscure characters by selling the A list cast as exclusives to these stores.

This is the greatest reasoning I've heard so far.

Reading this thread makes me wonder if Walmart doesn't want to make money. You have people willing to pay for a product but Walmart won't sell it to you.

We'll see if the new Walmart+ means a change to their platform.

The way regular Walmart.com has seemingly been going, them consolidating their online business with brick and mortor in recent months with 100s(?) of layoffs managing it... Walmart+ doesn't seem promising?

They'll probably charge for that "plus" service and still give you essential oils for your tf order..

Walmart and Target wants you to walk into a store, they could care less about online preorders.

To me this is Hasbro's fault trying to get everyone onto Walmart.com for iffy orders. It is getting people's hopes up.

You really don’t get how retail works if you blame Walmart’s failings on hasbro

Elita canceled. Exclusives are the worst.

If not for exclusives the toys wouldn't get made. I have had relatively few problems with exclusives from Amazon or Pulse, and Target was more an adventure in waiting than anything else. The problem is not the product but the store.

You think Hasbro has no clue what kind of inventory tracking Walmart and Target are running?

Hasbro believes everyone got a preorder who wanted one and 100% of them got filled?

    They know the deal.

You really think Hasbro cares? As far as they’re concerned the figures are already sold.

Of course, but they should stop telling people to run out a get their preorder if they know stuff like this is more than likely to happen.

They’re not telling anyone to run out, you don’t have to run out anywhere to get a preorder, but the fact remains that Walmart bought these figures from hasbro and hasbro has little say in what Walmart does with them after that. It’s entirely on Walmart for how they handle the preorders.

We’ve sat through how many many months of Fan First streams telling us when preorders starts for whichever product at Walmart?

Hasbro is getting people’s hopes up. They should be upfront with realistic expectations. I think we all know now how Walmart handles it.

Just gives us the in store date and the SKU# cause that is all that is really useful.
