My theory is that it all comes down to budget. In the west they have unlimited tax money and debt to fund law enforcement. And when there's money in something you get more of it.   Now that China is getting richer, and there's people who make a living shutting down KOs, it's likely not even a command from central gov, it's just a natural occurring thing.

Now is there any group of collectors out there that are anti KO that aren't just a bunch of whingers that are unwilling or incapable of taking action?

any news about Wei Jiang? a friend of mine ordered a HUGE amount of M01's (like 200) 2 months ago and they arrived last Friday, for 30 bucks each M01, 30 fking bucks NIB, now he ordered another huge amount of M02 M03 M04 M05 from WeiJiang and they said that the items will be ready for January, idk what the hell is happening, something weird, the boxes came in Chinese, every single M01 that I saw before came with a box in English (very bad English but English) anyone knows if there is a chance of WJ's factories still producing figures?

I paid a Deposit for MPM04 and they promised me that the product would be available soon. This lasted 6 months. from June. it's very funny. it doesn't sound like a fact at all. with the same success I can say that any company aims to make as much money as possible. they are not aimed at capturing the Optimus of the WJ and starting to produce it. you are probably not familiar with doing business in china. this is bad form. now the situation is such that it will be done by the WJ (rebrand) or no one. What you wrote is fiction. Did you come up with it yourself? Does this suggest that BMB will make the same optimus? No. Does this mean they won't do it? No. This fact doesn't make any sense. The fact would sound like "Black Mamba will produce toys using molds and drawings of Wei Jiang". What you wrote is far from a fact. Black Mamba is now coping with its problems, it does not give a shit about the optimus of a closed competitor company.
this can most likely be done in small batches by IW or TF DF, giving away most of the profits to WJ if WJ definitely ceases to exist, which is unlikely. In any case, you will find't the logos on the box.

 

Ah you are right, i am not in the know. The rebrand doesnt matter nor the change of names as long as the figures come out with the same quality. As far as the BA prime design, i will not put it past another company to copy the design and offer their tweaks. There is money to be made. People are buying $50 heads that are slightly larger for the ba prime. If the figure can be modded to have that head size fit in the transformation then it will be a best seller. Of course this is mere speculation but money is a great motivator and there is a preexisting design with a proven track record for success.
