I bought these years ago, but just now took out the cassette holders. I noticed a big difference in the sheen of the plastic, and it worried me. I know that there was a 2nd run on some of these, so there could be differences because of that. But can anyone tell for certain that these are not KO’s, and if so, can you tell me how to know?
They both have the embossed batch number so that is a good sign. But your photos of the packaging are not enough to tell. The figures themselves will have more signs of KO or not. The fit and finish of the KO is quiet poor. I have the official and have handled several makes of KO. If you bought them through a major retailer around time of original release they are unlikely to be KO. If you bought them cheap, under$40USD or so, from Ebay or taobao, they are most likely fakes.
Checked my records... It looks like I got MP-15 from BBTS for about $60 in 2015. And MP-16 from YaHobby for about $70 in 2016. BBTS should be legit. Is YaHobby reputable? (Looks like I bought UW Defensor from them as well)
