Man I wish Maketoys would reissue their Skywarp and Thundercracker.
The new Takara mold just isn't doing it for me. I feel like the new Takara mold looks bloated.
I think the Maketoys also looks more toon then the new Takara as well.

 

My wild guess for the price would be $279. My argument is that Takara’s recent prices have been insane, so because of that i had to guess insanely. If the price is less than that -> i will be supriced.

Gotta say, I honestly love the Maketoys Flyboys; best MP seekers bar none. The new Starscream from TT looks off somehow, so I went all in on these guys, and having them in hand, I am very pleased I did.

I just hope to God Maketoys releases the final two...

 

Do we think MT will appear at TFCon next week? Not hedging any bets on it but I'd really like to see the last two Coneheads there along with some Headmaster's.... *sigh*

 

I’m hoping for a new message about how they aren’t dead, maybe in PowerPoint form or a fireworks show, something to really hit it home!

I don't think we will hear anything from them at all like XTB/KFC. I do think EVENTUALLY we will get the other coneheads but who cares at this point. Maybe one next year and the other year following. I do now believe we don't get the other two headmasters. I am beyond pissed at them and have no faith. At this point they need to partner and sell their sh1t to someone else who is more serious. I think they have massive financial trouble and just need to escape the situation altogether. If I can get what I think I can get for these on the market now and get KO versions of the 3.0 for original seekers and coneheads I may just play this whole game again. I prefer the MT versions but they went cheap with Skywarp and Thundercracker with the wrong paint apps and I didn't forget it. Now is probably the right time for me to sell too. If I don't see the other coneheads before the end of the year I think I am out. I wanted to be done with Seekers and MT have pissed me off more than any other company. Really pissed right now at XTB/KFC. Even with a pandemic delay this is FT's greatest year and they have put out nothing but greatness so far. I have Sheridan, Hunk, Thomas, Goose, Iceman, Maverick, Spoiler, Roadking, and Magnum with Smokey on the way.

 

Has there even been any new updates regarding MT's toon Downbeat/Jazz repaint?
I agree that they should sell their Headmaster and Targetmaster designs to another company that can get them out like the company that sold their conehead seeker designs to Yes Model/BB7.

 

No, the date was moved to November. I emailed Tfsource, they sent a form letter. I'll email them again if it moves to December, and try to escalate it to a real person.

I hear this. Similar thoughts here. I think seeing Ramjet and Thrust in colour this weekend will be my personal highlight. Not counting chickens though.

 

No updates, radio silence since April on a reissue and at this point Thrust and Ramjet are also reissues that are now a couple of years overdue. They could put out a G2 Starscream, Sunstorm and tried to Crowdfund Hotlink but they couldn't even do the other two coneheads first. If funding is their issue they should have just Crowdfunded the two damn Coneheads and it would already be done.

 

At this point if the crowdfunded the last 2 cone heads I’d be all in for that. I want my Maketoys Thrust!

 

It's now been over 6 months (over half a year) since their April 1st (how ironic) "we're back" statement was published by them yet there's been nothing but radio silence from them since then. The writing has been on the wall for several months unfortunately. Who are they fooling at this point?

I recently had all three up for sale. Meteor is still available. Just putting that out there

 

Just got off the phone with TF Source and their staff said that they have gotten an official shipping confirmation for MT Downbeat and to quote the rep, "It is on a boat, on its way and should be here in about two weeks."

Take that for what it's worth, but the rep knew that I already had a pre-order in, so while he wasn't upselling me, he could've been placating me. Time will tell.

 

Maketoys has never been one to post frequently on social media or message boards, so no one should be surprised by the 6 months of "radio silence". Even a simple post of "we're shipping Product X to stores now" is a rare event.
