Because for the most part, metallic plastics are fine. It’s a very difficult issue to foresee. For every toy with GPS, there’s dozens that aren’t affected.
I'll say it before, I'll say it again: HasTak doesn't care about GPS. Most toys affected by GPS don't start crumbling till well after point of sale, so years down the line.

I pre-ordered Grimlock and Scourge from Pulse cause I'll pick up the rest later. I wanted the entire wave but once again,....Jazz is debatable cause i need to see more. I didn't want to go over of what i can afford.
The chances of anyone getting a new Devastator are slim to none, that's the reason why you have the reissue. Hasbro thought it was "too soon" for another Devastator and definitely too soon for another combiner in SS. So now the reissue fills the gap.

I might mod my Legends Blurr to IDW Blurr. Found something on Shapeways. But that depends on how good the quality of the printed thing feels (at least it reads as if the quality might be a lot less grainy than what I'm used to) and if I will be able to paint shit using Gundam markers (takes them some weeks to get here it seems)
The entire 86 line looks great. Very G1. I’m going to have to retire my RTS jazz for a scale accurate One.
Grimlock is pretty much perfect for me, I really like his beefy, strong proportions. Fits him IMHO. My only wish is that since he is rather big for a post prime wars leader, I really REALLY hope he is not flimsy and hollow. Fingers crossed on that one.
I mean, we can see from the images that he has very few visible hollow spots, and the ones he does have are his forearms which are for transformation purposes

Wdym about the dino arms? And the dino knees bend both directions. They bend the direction of the elbows, and then also a little bit the other direction, as seen on the back of the box
The biceps and shoulders are assembled with the hollow sides facing towards the front, with the elbow going both forward and back
