Don’t get me wrong man I hear you, but a lot of this shit will eventually be found and yes I agree it’s been more difficult but given the current circumstances I’m not too surprised. Unless you’re collecting the GI JOE line which then… Good luck.

Truth. I think I have some bleed-over frustration from G.I.Joe.

Saw a Doubledealer at Target on Rockford Rd & the 494 this morning while foraging for food. Gotta get that coupon use in while it lasts.

For whoever was looking for Snapdragon - there's 4 at EP Walmart.
They also had 2 hotlinks, 2 SS Blitzwings, and a couple skipjacks.

Just saw there’s been sightings of earthrise wave 3 in the US, sure would be nice if wave 2 showed up in Minnesota.

Yeah, MN gets everything last. That said, I truly think much of the wave 2 shipment (to the entire country) got lost somewhere. It’ll probably turn up at Five Below in a year.

Wave 2 Deluxes are at West St Paul (Roberts Street) Walmart right now. Picked up one Allicon and Smokescreen.
One of each left, plus multiple more of Arcee and the grey micromaster base guy (air something?). Lots of Voyager Snapdragons too. And at least one Cyberverse Thunderhowl.

Well finally saturation should continue and maybe in 2-3 weeks most stores should have them.

It wouldn't surprise me if Arcee ends up as the shelfwarmer for wave 2. She and Grapple can start a support group.

Considering Ironworks tends to warm shelves from Wave 1, I bet Airwave does too. And obviously Arcee looks awful, and most folks probably have a better version of her already.

On the bright side, even if Target mostly misses wave 2, hopefully Walmart will come through.

I really enjoy Ironworks. I’m hoping I can grab ten more when he goes on clearance so I can build a city.

Ditto. I would love if they just did a bunch more buildings and bases. Even something like Greasepit from Ironworks is nice since it gives you a different building.

I think I figured out why ER Arcee bugs me so much. Her bot mode looks fine, her vehicle mode looks fine... but she's a terrible TRANSFORMER. Like, the engineering and process to switch modes is trash. On top of that, it just doesn't fit the WFC play pattern. This is part of the reason I don't like slavish G1 recreations. Give me something FUN over something that looks like it has the 'correct proportions and paint apps' any day. But I also know a lot of collectors are more interested in the look of something on their shelf, so I accept my place in reality. Still a bad figure tho. XD

There's so much potential in the modular stuff and they always stop just shy of anything bold because they seem afraid to deviate from the new norm of "SHOW ACCURACY!"

Like, how do none of these have any sort of combined mode? Fans have played around a lot and made some interesting combos..but you'd think HasTak could have planned something like that given the modular nature of the figures.

Maybe the Takara Selects comic will spring some combo or another on us. They seem to like toying around with compatibility like that.

I couldn’t agree more. I’m happy people are getting long overdue Beast Wars and G1 accurate updates but it does feel a bit monotonous when MP, and a lot of 3P are going for cartoon looks.

I just want it to look bad ass and be fun.

My guess is that whatever comes after War for Cybertron will be something new, and that most future G1-accurate offerings will be slotted into Studio series.

I'd be fine with that. Or maybe Unicron Trilogy remake? XD
Actually, no, I would hate that. Armada was the first series I FULLY collected (repaints notwithstanding). Energon was early college. I know people have very VERY mixed opinions about those, but there was something really special about all the wacky gimmicks. I would only want remasters if they HAD gimmicks, even if it's just like the Universe hotshot we got a few years back. Thinking about ER engineering with Armada-level weirdness gets me excited, but seeing how micromasters are handled now tells me it would be pretty bland.

So yeah, maybe something NEW new? One of the main things that drove me too (and has since pulled me out of) 3p was the fact that it was all cool reimaginings of existing characters. Fansproject (before it imploded with a fury that would shake the pillars of heaven) had some really amazing stuff. There's still very few things that come close to the brilliant engineering on SmartRobin or the overall nuts approach to Glacialord. As much as I appreciate the great engineering in WFC (And I'm sure I'll say this about SS86), it'd be cool if they didn't play it so safe, even just for one or two lines.

I originally thought I would be on board for all of BW, because it looks great. But that doesn't feel like enough.

That said, the organic beast modes are top notch compared to the originals. They found a way to update the toys without leaning in to "SCREEN ACCURATE!" And each has articulation specifically for the beast modes.

I've got Primal/Megs on PO and am eagerly awaiting Dinobot. But beyond that? Shrug. If Airazor has articulated wings and can perch I'll likely bite. (Especially since peregrines are awesome.)

But like....how about a Modular Orcanoch or Arachnid?

I’m sure it’s highly unlikely because so far it’s just first season Beast Wars, but I’m secretly hoping that voyager Dinobot is the TM2 version. Lol.

I’m interested in how they will improve Rhinox. I like the Thrilling 30 and my only complaints are the shoulders and knees could use ratchet joints. Maybe more articulation in beast mode?

I’d be down for Armada designs updated with modern engineering and articulation. Cyclonus and Demolisher had some horrible face sculpts.

The line had a lot of play value but I could live without the gimmicks to get more poseability out of Hot Shot and Scavenger. Energon Rodimus was such a radical new take on the character but that flat hexagonal chest piece still gives me nightmares. Demolisher and Snowcat were fantastic.

Siege has given me mixed feelings because the quality control has been pretty poor. Plastic near pins stresses and warps to the point where a handful of figures have broken after a couple transformations. I haven’t seen this issue yet in Earthrise but that line has the issue of mismatched paint and plastic on some figures. This is a disappointment with the price increase that started with these lines.
