I'm proud to present one of the best purchases I have made recently.



Masterpiece Tigatron is probably one of the most successful beast modes from the MP Beast Wars line. Is just a beautiful looking tiger from basically any angle, quite different from Cheetor.

Speaking of which, while it was initially thought that Tigatron would simply be an oversized version of MP Cheetor, they couldn't be more different due that the transformations are incredibly different. Tigatron's transformation is... involved to say the least, at times it feels overly complicated and there are some steps that feel kinda dangerous which is something sadly common in this line.



But my God, is the transformation worth it. This is a gorgeous looking bot as well with many details that are so prominent in MP BW. The accessories are also pretty cool, particularly a fan of the puzzle head Megatron, but I'm definitely not putting the missiles on Tigatron's arm because I just know they're gonna break. The usual issues are also present sadly like the paint chipping which should be fixed by now.

And here's my MP BW collection so far. Really happy with most of them and I really hope that the next MP is Airazor (but I'm not putting her alongside Tigatron because their relationship was always ugh).

Look again. Only that giant lump on his shoulder is level with Tigatron’s head.

 

Still. You’d expect LioConvoy to be taller.

 

Only b/c hes a convoy. Still, tigers are larger than lions, so it make sense

 

Optimus is a Convoy and he's shorter than most of the cast.

I am holding out hope for a CG-style Lio, just as we got an Anime Primal. Give him metalic claws and hydro dipped fur, and a new mane. Maybe I'm crazy but I would love that way more than the anime one. Make him fit in with the BW cast.

Complete waste of time.

They won't make figures based on signatures in an online petition if the Kingdom line underperforms.

That's not at all how businesses work.

While the bolded part is true, if Kingdom does well Hasbro may look at this petition and see the combined sales figures and fan demand as a good reason to pursue it.

Times have changed. Businesses interact a lot more with fanbases online. Petitions aren't the joke they used to be, sometimes they get results, though businesses usually base it more on general online activity. Pixelmaster even said the reason Kingdom happened was because Hasbro saw the huge demand for Beast Wars in the first place, despite there not being any sales figures to make that assumption on. It was just the massive online demand for beasts.

And as that deleted post pointed out, if a company like Lego can be hen-pecked into forking over a set people have been asking literal years for, Hasbro can be persuaded to finish off the three missing characters if there's demand enough and if the toy sales show them it's worthwhile.

 

Another day of picture fun with childhood figures:

 

The following are notes I scribbled whilst drug-addled during my recent trip to hospital:

• "And I have half of one to spare".
• Scouring through old files from some salvaged parts of the Axalon, Rattrap discovers the stored data-tracks from Dinobot.
• He takes the information to Optimus, seeing it as an opportunity to try to bring him back.
• Optimus disagrees. In the wrong hands, the information could actually be a security risk to them.
• Rattrap protests. They've lost a lot of friends. This is an opportunity to get one back. Megatron's recent experiment with the Cyber-Raptors, plus his previous cloning of Dinobot, means he could be trying something -- something they could capitalise on.
• Optimus' answer is still no.
• "Your Spark is in the right place".
  
• Rattrap is monitoring the scanners when he detects a strange energy reading, similar to the Cyber-Raptors. Rather than report it, he takes off. Cheetor follows him.
• Cheetor catches up to Rattrap and tries to talk him out of it, but Rattrap presses home that it's what a friend would do. Cheetor agrees, and agrees to help.
• They discover Megatron's Transmetal Platform.
• Depth Charge arrives, having detected Protoform X's energy signature.
• They devise a plan to distract Megatron and Waspinator while Rattrap tries to install the data-tracks.
• The files are installed but it has no effect. Transmetal II Dinobot is born.
• Dinobot turns the fight in the Predacons' favour. Cheetor is blasted into the device and seemingly killed.
• "The cat was tough. He went out fighting".
• Optimus holds Rattrap personally responsible for Cheetor's death. Depth Charge also feels responsible, as the senior Maximal involved.
• Depth Charge ditches the Driver, but it is rescued by Blackarachnia.
• Rattrap leaves to try to find and destroy the new Dinobot to make amends.
• A mysterious creature begins stalking Maximals and Predacons alike.

It appears I was attempting to rewrite Feral Scream 1 and 2 to incorporate elements of Dark Glass. Reviewing it in the cold light of day, I think the pieces actually line up pretty well.

 

Magmatron: "The perfect way to start a new day."

 

I would LOVE that. But I'm not sure if the MP beast mode can be saved, even with a new mane. The proportions are pretty awful and not very lion-like.
