The TR one was too skinny, perceptor was quite bulk from what i remember. I think if a new perceptor was produced then this would be an idea mode for blaster as well, it would take very little for the legs to be moved around the sides as opposed to be flat and it would give him that extra length to his boombox mode when compared with soundwave.
While I'm content with my rts and would never replace it, I still want them to make a new perceptor for the people who would want one, as your right about the TR one, it was a bad perceptor toy, they do need to make a new one to fit with the wfc toy quality.
I thought Legends Perceptor was great. Is the Headmaster feature totally unnecessary for the character? Of course, but that was the case for most of the entire TR line up. But it works well here. I'd much rather see a good Voyager Blaster than a new Perceptor. Also we badly need a Huffer and Gears - they have never had dedicated Classics updates (being simple head remolds of otherwise inaccurate molds is the closest they have gotten). Since Astrotrain was done again, I guess we could go for a Blitzwing in the same style but again I though the Legends release was wonderful. He's much more accurate than Astrotrain was certainly. I'd like to see a non-remold Sandstorm too. Oh and the previously mentioned Omnibots badly need proper updates. Fact is there is still a lot of ground for them to cover.
Most of the characters you mentioned didn't have PotP releases - I'm assuming you mean TR or CW for those.
He got one from Nonnef Honestly, aside from the headmaster, I don't get the complaints about TR Perceptor, he looks pretty spot on to me and mine hasn't had any issues holding together
Yeah I was referring to the Prime Wars trilogy. Forgot that the entire name for the series was Prime wars and not POTP. I got all of the 86 movie characters that showed up in the Prime Wars trilogy as gifts.
Studio series 86 case list Deluxe: 2x kup 3x jazz 3x blurr Voyager 2x hot rod 1x scourge Leader 2x grimlock
Yikes on Scourge, if true on being one per box. Some how I wonder if there is going to be a second wave somewhere because they can't be thinking the Blurr's and Kup's are going to sell that well, do they? I would've went one less of those two figures and 3 of the Scourges but I guess it depends if you want to stick to the stores with shelf-warmers or not.
I get what you mean but I'm thinking how TT get away with MP36 Megatron? Surely they can use some sort of loophole to get away with a CHUG gun Megatron? Definitely. IMO we will definitely more of SS86 figures. Its like printing money for Hasbro - I'm just curious why they started so "late". That's my collection goal too! Complete season 1,2, 86 movie cast and the combiners then I'm done! @#%! C'mon why must Hasbro keep doing this!
MP Megatron is exclusive to Japan, it can't be sold here, even if imported it supposed to be ruined first with glued on orange parts. The difference is, in the US, all sorts of terrible interactions ocurr with the police on a regular basis with objects that barely resemble a gun. Sometimes the motion of pulling a wallet out ends tragically.
Mp36 was intended for sale in Japan. So US laws don't apply there. If you wanted to legally import MP36 to the USA, the seller is supposed to permanently affix an orange tip to the end of the barrel.
There will never be a mainline CHUG gun Megatron again. It would be exclusive to Japan (which you did concede in your initial post), but would you really want that? When Takara makes molds on their own they tend to be shit. Legends God Bomber was a mess, MP figures are riddled with qc problems, plus it's pretty likely that not even Hasbro Pulse would carry a Takara exclusive gun Megatron.
To be fair, the PMOP mold was supposed to be Delta Magnus till hasbro realized how badly he would shelfwarm. The mold was never intended to combine and Godbomber suffers from this. Lots of MP could’ve prevented their QC issues if they simply baked it longer in the oven. They’re often rushed out and the delays often mean they’re making sure that the toy doesn’t even destroy itself inside packaging
Entirely fair points, but it's still a persistent issue with Takara created molds these days. It's definitely not all of them that have issues, but there's more than enough to see it as a trend.
Sadly, I concur with you guys...especially with Fenrys' post...the MP line is riddled with QC issues. I gave up after I got Hound. :/
