Looks to be HA sized if the measurement is right. There was confusion about just how tall the OS SS Shockwave was too so I'll watch the thread for comparisons and QC reports.

 

I don’t know if this is a hot take but I would’ve much rather had blast effects and explosions than the backdrops. It would’ve been much cooler if we had gotten explosion effects like the ones @Shmoptimus Prime uses in his Instagram photos.

Shockwave is absolutely stunning. He looks damn cool! Even though leaders cost 60 dollars here so it stings juuuuuust a little.




Also what the hell is this? It was pegged on the tiny peg on his backpack kibble, prevented me from tabbing that part correctly in tank mode. I was scratching my head why that part won't lay flat until this tiny piece got detached.

The personality and expressiveness of Shockwave definitely put him firmly within my top 3 Studio Series figures out there right now. Some of that fondness comes from the fact I had to search high and low to find one and see that the wait was well worth it.

Looks to me like it was a piece of left over flash that never got removed from the molding. I checked my copy over and I don't see that piece, so that's what leads me to believe it's excess flash.

 

For Dino, that place they went to where he said his lines in the beginning of DOTM.

Sideways, the place he and Demolishor hide in.

Demolishor, either the same backdrop as Sideways or the bridge he got jumped by Optimus.

The Fallen, the pyramid or that place he was resting on.

Also, even though they already made it I wish SS-69 would at least come with the pyramid he climbed rather than the same background the other Constructicons came with.

 

Will these be available on someplace besides facebook? I am really, really interested in owning these two as companion pieces but I refuse to use facebook.

Regarding the lack of detail, the sets aren’t actually quite finished yet. The pics I showed, save for Slithertread, were from back in August, and Slithertread is about 80% complete on its own. I believe that they have been making some changes such as shortening Sawshank’s tubes so they’re not as obtrusive or big in robot and vehicle mode. The kit is shooting for supposedly a November release.

Regarding the increased weight on top of Long Haul and Rampage, I think that they made the arms the same length to completely avoid that. They shortened the left arm with Slithertread and extended the right arm with Scrapper’s upgrades so that the distribution of weight much better between all four limbs.

Oh sorry yeah I don't follow that thread anymore but thanks for writing a mini-review! I was only going to get this if it was 100% solid so I think I'll pass. I will go into the other thread to read your review though. I think there should be a screw or two you can tighten in the bicep but I don't remember perfectly.

I didn't recall if you were in the thread at the time of all that "rarity" nonsense. And yeah, blast effects are so much fun and almost necessary these days.

Amen! I've resorted to exactly that though. I mostly get my effect pieces on ebay from marvel legends stuff (sometimes you can catch an auction for just the pieces). Plus there are some things you can get on amazon. I have a pretty good collection of explosions now   But it would be way better to get some official ones that were compatible!
