found an Authentics Ratchet finally at Walgreens Westlake Shopping Center, CA today...he seems a bit better designed than most of the rest of the line

 

I remember the heft really impressed me

Its the yearly October Walgreens freak out.

"Ugh its walgreens, theyre the worst"

"I just went to 15 walgreens in my state 800 miles from where it was sighted, the day it was sighted, and I SAW NOTHING! SCREW YOU WALGREENS!"

"Itll sell out on the site instantly and never come back"

"I found one but I got super duper 4 leaf clover sacrifice my soul lucky, (even though who knows how many you'd have found because you stopped looking after you found one)"

Meanwhile, Ratchet went clearance on their site, I saw the TR 2 pack years after it came out, people are still finding ratchet while hunting for Bluestreak, and Walgreens get a truck once a week so there is no reason to check daily.

It is this way with every brick and mortar retail exclusive. Most exclusives in general. Dirge and Ramjet are the exception. Siege Skywarp was up for a month or more, etc. Seeker 2 pack, rainmakers, Decepticon clones, etc. all easy to find after an initial slow period.

People just love to freak out and complain. Exclusives have given us the ability to HAVE all the figures we want in a single line. Not getting 2/3rds of the seekers or 1/3rd of the coneheads, etc.

On-Topic note: Hoping this is the week Bluestreak is stocked around here *crosses fingers*

 

Come on man, we need something to be worried about! What will we do if we don't, discuss toys?

 

Complain about how people need to stop buying G1 based toys and GENWUNNERS are ruining the hobby. Or.... *Aimlessly* complain about how they chose to go for cartoon accurate and not G1 toy accuracy, or something like that.

This is pretty accurate for every exclusive offering. Although I miss the day of Botcon exclusives. At least those freakouts didn't last as long.

Ratchet shelfwarmed for months at two of my local Walgreens. I was shipping them out to board members who didn't have a Walgreens or for whatever reason didn't get online.

The one before him too, Brainstorm, right? Same deal.

Actually I have things about most lines I like. Beast wars was pretty fun. It seems I need to make sure people know I was joking.... haha

Its like the 5 stages of grief, but with toy collecting.

 

BUT YOU HATE BEAST MACHINES BECAUSE EVERYONE HATES BEAST MACHINES

I should offer specialized therapy services for toy collectors. I'll have to consult my DSM.

 

I keep my actual large enjoyment for BM silent for that reason....  

The cartoon, not most of the toys. Those.... were something.
