Okie, the little pin on one of my ankle circles popped off. Is there a way to glue it in without compromise the hinge?

 

Surprisingly, the chrome is perfectly intact on mine despite plenty of posing on hard rocks and dirt this weekend. Still gotta take the dang head off to transform it but the transformation gets more and more fun each time I do it. I still fucking HATE transforming the guns/gas tanks (they're absurdly overengineered and not intuitive in the slightest) but aside from that it's a fun transformation and truck mode is sexy af.

This is just depressing more than anything. They have the entire thing scanned yet won't make the figure, cause they just need it for the kit.

 

Pretty sure that's a scan. Like said above, that's easy to do.

 

You said it.. Depressing.. I cannot wait until someone does their own design or releases the BA version, with maybe a few tweaks. like don't give us a foot pin, or thigh pin, use Bolts. Like Screw bolts., or just something very durable with a bit of give.

 

Yup scan...easy to do sure? But man I wish I could afford one that's as good   Who's up to tech on 3d scanners? Anything decent I could buy less than $300?

The things I would love for BA Prime are more related to the vehicle mode if I am honest.
I would love a different hinge to have the tanks move inward if I were to store the guns away from the figure
I have some ideas on that and a different hinge for the (rear) fenders in truckmode if I were to remove the curent colapsable wheels (having them 6mm more toward the rail would make him look a lot better)
your mirror ideas are great as well.

Would a head that has some transformation be possible? if the head splits and rotates a little, a bigger head could fit inside, maybe it would loose the rotating face but that facemask has other options as well

I can answer you exactly. transformation of the head into a smaller size is possible. look, I have a 3d resin printer, a 3d scanner, and so on. I know and I have working ideas, for example how to make a bumblebee mpm03 just like in the movie. transforming! at the level of the DMK set, or better. with glowing headlights, with glowing taillights, with rubber tires and real tread. it is more than possible. I have contacted the toy manufacturers. they will never do it. the product will not be for children, it will be too fragile. too complex, and there will be 2-4 times more transformation steps. and work time at the assembly of toys at the factory will grow several times. I could, having my ability to make such a bumblebee. but it takes too long. but I thought to do for sale in small lots of 5-10 pieces. but how much will all this labor and materials cost then? $ 500-800 for a figurine? I am still thinking about trying and doing it.

yeah, it’s not reverse engineered, just one scan for the whole thing. You can tell by the way connected parts kind of look like they’re melted together

Check the rating- I wouldn’t trust that.
Start off with photogrammetry and calipers, it’s much cheaper
