So what, the plan for the Beast Wars characters was in and out? Revisit them for part of a line and then ignore them again for the most part? That seems strange. Especially since it’s been mentioned that Beast fans are at a prime age for consuming product. I really hope this isn’t the end.

I have to agree with this 100%. I don’t think it was too much to ask to get all the season 1 characters. It’s one thing to not delve into further seasons, but at least give us that initial cast of characters.

 

Is definitely disappointing that Terrorsaur, Tarantulas and Inferno didn't make it (Just like other planned toys like Polar Claw and I was also looking forward to new versions of Cybershark and Wolfang).

Then again, Kingdom is giving me a new Deluxe-size Airazor so I don't really have much to complaint about.

 

While I'm still looking forward to these I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed about Tarantulas being absent, I guess we just gotta hope Kingdom does well enough. I still have his 10th anniversary toy but I really would've liked a nicer, modernized one D:

Well, Pixel said those three are coming if it does well enough, so I wouldn't count beast wars out just yet. Armada had a significant Transmetal presence in later waves with the 4 Horsemen and Predacon, maybe they'll include those?

 

Btw, do they count the "depend on sales" based on figure, or one line?

Let's say, do they count how much of Cheetor was being sold, or do they count how much of Figure in Kingdom line being sold?

 

The line. It is very hard for them to keep track of the figures sold.

Me personally, I'm frankly more focused on Finishing my TFA, G1 S1 and TF:TM shelves to buy beast wars, but I'll probably grab Cheetor and Paleotrax and Cheetor just to throw BW guys a bones.

I know you're already pushing the boundaries of what you can and can't say, but by impacting a figure in one year, is this a good thing or a bad thing? Like is it good because Starscream being a budget figure opened up a slot for someone else to be a new mould, or is it a bad thing in that he took the spot of someone else?

 

Why? Curious to see how Takara miscolors him, to then see the ensuing chaos when people swear that the miscoloring will indeed be what we get on release?   (this is purely picking fun at Takaras use of things like the outdated ER Prime mold or the pink Allicon for their production shots)

We know from leaks that he is a partial of Warpath, and he's a non character that didn't originally have a bot mode. In all honesty, we're lucky to even be getting one this long after Metroplex was released

I refuse to believe Hasbro will not get to the Transmetals eventually. Anyways I think the original toys for Inferno and Tarantulas are good stand ins for now, I managed to get them recently from eBay, they really hold up and scale nicely with Generations Waspy (and by extension the rest of Kingdom). These are slightly customized but nothing major, so if you are impatient like me I'd highly recommend these two.


We desperately need a new Terrorsaur though, he's a freaking red pteranodon you can't get more appealing to kids than that! Hopefully we get an update for him and the other missing Predacons really soon.

I agree it would be nice if he was the nice dark red from the show, although I justify in my head knowing that fire ants kinda look translucent in real life?

I wish all the main line TFs came with their proper weapons. Or that Hasbro would release weapons packs that would allow us to complete the figures...I mean weapons would be so cheap to tool up, and Hasbro, we would pay for them. It would save us having to go to Third Parties and get (sometimes) half-assed custom weaponry that need further modding/assembly or are just poor quality.

 

This. A thousand times this. Hasbro opened something up with the Centurion pack that IMHO they very much should keep open. The fans deserve it, being patient enough to wait this long for proper Sunbow/Mainframe figures.
