I hate how every new repaint makes me say “ooh that one’s better!” they could have reversed the releases and I’d think the same way strangely I do think a recolored Gigantor will happen with these lighter tan colors as the main color palette. Hopefully the original garish reds and greens are woven in in tastefully as an homage as well. I believe they won’t just do those Original colors On this new mold. It can’t look good. But lightly homaging the colors throughout seems like it could be a NICE look.
I think it would be an awesome exclusive. It’s a lot of tooling to not milk it. We got 3 Big Powered and 3 Diabattles. Don’t bet against it.

What was the original MSRP of Giganter? $300 USD? Trying to decide if its a better deal to buy the current release (if possible) vs getting the recolor which will likely be an exclusive which means "exclusive " markup in pricing. I wont know until I see the recolor but I really dig the gunmetal colors of whats currently available vs the sand coloring.
Warudaros Giganter released on May 30th, 2020 with a MSRP of ¥38,000. I paid ¥33,350 Amazon Japan at release for one, and ¥30,400 at Anime Export at release. Shipping, taxes, and tariffs aren't included in those totals.
You can occasionally find secondary market ones for a little under 30k yen. Mandarake had one or two a few days ago. Assume $80 or so shipping to the US.
Overseas it was around $300. I preorder from AMJ and shipped to me in the US was ￥31,782. Which with the exchange rate at the time was like $280. Shipping was way cheaper back then though. So even if you got it at the same pre-order price, shipping would be about twice as much. All domestic US retailers had it for $399
I continue to eagerly await whenever they announce a Gigantor redeco. It'll be painfully expensive, but it's one of my favorite toy releases of this year, and this entire line, so I'm still waiting when I get to own a different version. I wouldn't mind seeing it in mostly black, with subtle metallic colors mixed in to pop even more, but honestly I'll probably buy another Gigantor no matter what it looks like.
There was 1 Gigantor at BBTS I just grabbed it. The toy is too good. I’ll get any recolor but fuck it, I have 2 now and I am happy.

Yeah, the legs are a bit too long. I think the Buffalo head unit’s legs were more similar to the original powered suit legs as opposed to the longer ones on the later units.
Oh boy, this has been a weekend. I caught up from page 500 of this thread to current. Really wish i had found Diaclone back in April-May. Played with my Suit C yesterday while catching up on the thread. Current Status: Trirambler Standard, Triverse 1 & 2 standard, Raptor Head, Raider Head and 2 Extra Dianaut packs on the way from RK Tri Driller Marine Edition was grabbed off an auction through FromJapan [Thanks whomever mentioned that link and to search using Diaclone in Japanese]. "In for a penny, in for pound", so now I need to figure out TriDasher, TriJetter, Big Powered, Buffalo, and DiaBattles. Also want a few of the Maneuver class suits since they mesh better with the VerseRisers. Land Cruiser would be nice as well but that seems impossible to find. For Dia Battles, do the later recolors have better mechanics & QC? I'm not too concerned about color matching my force, that's out the window due to my late arrival. My big question though is this: Do I preorder Battle Convoy now to guarantee or is it safe to do closer to release?
they’re all about the same. There was a connection joint they “strengthened” on it for Cosmo and later Alpha Plus, and I guess red lightning too. It was the little clip on the back of the pod that could be connected to the backpack to make a jet. I had the prototype “moonbase” release (the grey one) for a couple years and never had any trouble with that joint though, and I don’t recall anyone posting about it here, so I don’t know how widespread an issue it really was.
Well, I wish they would go full OG with Giganter, but given what they're doing with the line these days I don't expect such a direct homage. We'll probably get a light gray version at some point.

I'm really getting great answers and I'm really happy your willing to email some pics cause I'd like that too if and when you get time. I'd love to see some of these figures next to say a Seige or Earthrise or even Titans return figures. Reply back friend when you get time and email some pics. So everyone and you included had great ideas so thank you so much from the bottom of my heart and soul just thank you everyone. I will ponder over and look for ways to get started possible on some of these figures. So it will be much later which won't be till January i see now cause everything keeps getting pushed back by a month and why i dunno but I'd love to know..
