Thanks for the tips. I think I'll grab that acrylic paint and see if it helps.

I got my Hun-Grr a couple of weeks ago.
    I really like it.
    Overall nice.

    Complaints:
    NO STICKERS
Feet are far too small and need a heel for stability
Hands don't fit well, but I can fix it.

I got to examine Hungrr a bit today:

Tightening all the screws for the hip ratchets seemed to help make them a bit more rigid to bear the weight.

I ordered a KO CW Aerialbot to scavenge the combiner peg from to try that upgrade chest plate swap... Then I realized that those Sneaky Pete's altered the size of the Enigma and the port in the chest. It's bigger than a combiner peg and doesn't seem to be quite square. Once the Aerialbot arrives maybe I can thicken the peg to size with some styrene or something.

I was going to order a BMB Slash for the extra fist pieces to use to thicken up the thighs, but when trying that with the existing fists, the peg on the inside of the thigh is thinner than the hole in the thumb, and also the peg is set further back, so that the thumb/palm/thumb can't wrap around neatly like with the POTP version.

The upside to having all the BMB Dinobots is that you have two extra fists that you can give to this set for heels.

I was able to tighten my knee joints with a screwdriver. Same with the forward/back on the ankles. They will eventually work themselves loose again.

    Hun-Gurr Got here today:)
    Finally!

Anyway, he’s better than I thought he would be, considering all the complaints of looseness and breakage. His hips ARE very loose, But nowhere near as loose as my Hasbro POTP with the TDW kit. That floppy POS mess will not stand up! I have to lean him against something:/

He definitely needs a bigger, better chest.
I would pay good money (hint!;)  ) for a 3D printed kit that could be modified to work the same way as the TDW chest and shoulders work together. I can’t stand the giant butterfly chest, after looking at the TDW design. The TDW shins *almost* work. The peg is very nearly the same size, but it’s just further away.

All in all, it’s still much better than the POTP, And even more stable, if you can believe that.lol

I got the chest to stay in, by popping off that upper hinge the piece as well as the Prime’s cover on Hun-Gurr. It sort of clips on the Prime frame. Unfortunately, I had to use a tie to pull the bottom section in, because it kept wanting to pop off.

Sort of the size comparison between the two, though I have Shapeways combiner peg leg extensions and doubled-up feet, making him 14” already.

The last two pictures are just my hand/foot adapter mods. Luckily, I made extras when I did my OS Volcanicus upgrades.

Sorry for the bad pics- I was too lazy to go downstairs where I have better lighting.lol

How did you make those hand/foot adaptor mods? And if they were 3D printed, are you able to share the 3D files?

Upon messing with the figure a little more, I can confirm that what I believe happened to my figure is that it was either the above fault, or that the combiner head caught against the folded in Hun-grr robot head when unfolding (the parts seem to make contact when they're both folded in). It didn't take much to rip the holding tabs off of the combiner head. Since I glued the combiner head in place, there's no way I can check that rotating the part would stop it happening, but it's worth a shot for anyone who has the figure to just turn Abominus's head to face backwards before folding it down.

Sorry, I machined them from solid stock:/
It wouldn’t take much to 3-D print them, though- they’re basically just plain blocks with a large OS peg and a smaller 5mm hole. The foot plates are tapped for nylon screws at the back, because the PE feet suck a** at larger Combiner heights, and need to be stabilized.

I got my Hun-Gurrr in the mail today and I'm eager to get started making Abominus better.
I never realized how flat his torso is until I got it in person. I would also pay good money for an upscaled TDW chest plate like Rodann mentioned if anyone is able to design one... (nudge nudge;) ) .

Step One: Painted Abominus' head to match the colours from the cartoon.

If you mean the combiner ports that connect each figure to the other, then yes, they are he same size as all of the official Combiner Wars figures.

Still a work in progress but I've managed to recreate the upgrade kit for the OS Ayoi Abominus.
    I'm open to suggestions.

So in essence, you can use combinerwars/Potp limbs for him, correct?

Any recommendations on where to get this? Mine from hzj never arrived and he’s refunded me instead of replacing it.

    Looking for some advice,

I was looking to find In Retail Box the AOYI Hungrr, AOYI Sinnertwin, BMB Slash and AOYI SS38 Black Optimus Prime.

Can anyone recommend any reliable sellers that sells these In Retail Box for a decent price?

    Cheers and thanks!

Made few purchases from this store with no problems. But, as usual, YMMV, you never know when seller turns rogue or his/her account gets taken over by hackers. (though from what people said in KO thread, AliE is pretty safe - seller won't get a cent until you confirm you got items you ordered).

(unfortunately it seems they don't have Slash in PotP colours, just the pink one)
