I kind of feel like if Zeta did do Menasor they should stick with their chest, hips, thighs, feet and hands combiner parts method. No transforming the parts into a trailer or a base, just an exosuit that the cars clip onto. Simple. I'm still holding out hope for the Zeta Preds that were shown in 2019 (computer 3ds) and I hope they stick to their trialed and tested ways to keep the continuity with the previous ones.

Its possible- I mean, at this time last year, people were all pissed that we hadn't seen an update on Gravestone. Then DX9 revealed their Capone, and everyone declared that "XTB is never gonna finish their set, the other companies will beat them to the punch!". But then they did finally reveal Gravestone soon after and managed to get him out before Christmas. So there's definitely time.

But yeah, they definitely should have had the trailer out way before now, so I don't think its fantastical to think it could get here this year, or at least before next CNY. Heh, as chill as I am about all this though, if it doesn't come out until after CNY, that would be pretty annoying.

 

Realistically speaking they only have till the beginning of December to send out the trailer, because of XMas. But then again we don't know how bad XMas will be this year, although based on retail spending this month, it appears that people have plenty of money. Retail spending this month is actually HIGHER than the same period last year and is at a record, which bodes well for the next two months.

 

So i guess the "stay tuned" is a tfcon reveal next weekend. I hope G2 Gravestone and Menasor is also there and maybe the toy ver.of Flipout and Gravestone. Seems like the right time to show them XTB.

 

Eligos reissue? I want to see that... I wonder if improvements have been made to the mold...

 

It could be in production right now for all we know. I'm hoping XTB comes out swinging at the Con. It would be nice to have something to be excited for besides the next FT release.

just to be clear, I'm annoyed that Menasor hasn't been finished yet, but I also know that throwing a fit and proclaiming every couple of days that I'm getting rid of my set doesn't change a damn thing either.
we've been in this game for too damn long to have them get something out for the sake of getting something out. I'd rather have to wait a few more weeks (giving a grace period with the whole covid shit show) to have it done right than to have it not be able to move the arms or unstable just standing there.
having to wait a little bit longer isn't the end of the world, I honestly think people were more relaxed about all of this stuff before the Covid shit spun everyone's world on it's ear.

 

I wonder if the civility is down to the fact the GT has no real competition. There is more animosity in the Mensor threads because of two or three sets of fans playing off on each other. Having started both FT and XTB sets myself I can look at them objectively and see the individual aspects that I appreciate in both of them. At the moment the FT set is - for me - superior in every mode. It's one of the reasons I'm of the edge of whether to keep the XTB stunts. I think I'll buy the Trailer when it gets here and then look at both as complete sets and decide then what to do. Fortunately for me (and down to the fact I work really hard at two jobs to keep the bank balance healthy) I have managed to secure two sets of FT bots thus far so when the time comes I can either sell the FT set for what I paid for it (no scalping here) or do the same with the XTB one and keep both FT sets. I'm annoyed for sure that the Trailer has taken so long and I totally accept that Covid has played its part in delays as well as in the breaking of people's sanities, which has in turn made people say things they wouldn't normally, or act in a way that is generally outside of their better character (myself included). I would much prefer to wait for a product that is quality controlled and built to the highest of standards rather than them rush out a dodgy product at the end of the day - but ultimately it's my decision as to whether I bail on it at the last hurdle or see it through to the end and my reasons are both considered and my own.

 

I appreciate XTB is kinda communicating, but at this point, why not explain what the issue was that caused the trailer to be delayed? If it was a serious thing, say so, and I think it'll help (some of us) a little to know that. When the trailer is finally released and if something still goes wrong, people will still give XTB shit for it and the company's old reputation will come roaring back, so it's not like sitting on the existing explanation is calming people.
