Was thinking of which characters i was hoping for redos of (primarily the minibots) and was thinking most of them should be redone in the new style but to be honest looking at my prime wars minobots they pretty much for the mini masterpiece moniker. I mean what else could you do to beachcomber and seaspray? To be honest theyre spot on to the cartoon. Windcharger and brawn are pretty good too although I would never say no to new versions as I think brawn could be done better and I just like windcharger. Apart from the obvious ones that haven't been done properly e.g. huffer and gears, the only ones I would say could do with a redo are wheelie (I just want a cartoon accurate version), powerglide and maybe cosmos. I know cosmos and powerglide weren't in the movie but generally thinking of cartoon characters.

 

New versions would have increased articulaiton most likely. Just compare TR Bumblebee and WFC Bumblebee as a direct example

 

I think cosmos could do with an update to give him a chunkier appearance and this could always be retooled into a cybertron mode bumblebee (just add a fold down chest piece that would sit over the front of the saucer). Won't be exact but might be the closest thing.

 

I'm all in on this series, the '86 movie is that special to me. I've been pretty much building my chug collection to be this series to begin with lol. Now they just go and make these.

Question though, do you guys think I'm safe to grab like Cliffjumper (for example) from Earthrise now to go with these guys or are we thinking we'll maybe get a Studio Series Cliffjumper down the line also? I already have so many double ups that will be made redundant soon... don't really want to add new ones to the pile.

 

SS86 is supplementing WFC, not replacing anything from it.

 

SS86 line is suppose to fill in the gaps in the 86 lineup. There isn't enough space in the Kingdom line to release these figures (already full deluxe, voyager and leader lineup in kingdom).

This is why they're not gonna release a new galvatron, cyclonus, or earthmode ultra magnus in SS86 line because they're being released in Kingdom.

Don't expect any repeat characters in ss86 that has/is getting released in wfc trilogy.
