I think most people prefer Stepper, but the wiki people are sticklers for their "English release names only" rule, so Ricochet gets a bit more usage because of that.

    This occurred to me.

Poor Windcharger. Such an underused Autobot. Aside from G1, he's never gotten anything.

I refer to them as Stepper and Ricochet because Nightstick is already used. Now which is which? I'll never tell...

The rid15 mobile game was extremely fun
And forged to find should’ve been a console game

The dark of the moon shooting game >>The rid15 mobile game >>>>>forged to fight >>>>>>>>> transformers legends

I have two unpopular opinions this time:

1). Although the idea of the Decepticon Justice Division was cool, the non Tarn members of the team were the cringiest edgelord villains to ever grace a comic that wasn't made in the 90s.

2). I know they won't, but I wouldn't mind in the slightest if Hasbro permanently changed the Decepticons name to the Ascenticons. It still has an air of menace but isn't so obviously evil that I can only imagine puppy kicking childeaters willingly joining them.

How did the Decepticons ever recruit anyone anyways?

" I promise to give you power and freedom to do as you wish"

"Alright cool, what's your groups name?"

    "Uh ... the Liar Squad."

    "See yah"

You know what would have made them better? Make it clear that the DJD NEVER attacks the Autobots. They will fight if pressed but they never start the fight. Because their duty is to keep the Decepticon forces in line. Having them be Decepticons that just happen to kill other Decepticons sometimes makes them... just Decepticons.

Making them the dark secret police that will stroll onto a battlefield, ignore the wounded Autobots, and just brutally kill a Decepticon... that is so much more interesting.

I'd actually use both: They call themselves Ascenticons because they view themselves as an ascended race, but everybody else calls them Decepticons. But yeah, the name Ascenticon is one of IDW2's better innovations.

I wouldn't say never going after Autobots. Instead, I'd have them kill Autobots, or anyone else for that matter, who gives aid or shelter to a deserting Decepticon. Like, if the Lost Light decided to take in Fulcrum, the DJD should try to butcher everybody aboard for the "crime" of sheltering somebody on the List.

So long as it is a matter of their task then I have no problem with that. But having them attack the hospital just to get cogs... that was a really dumb move, IMO, that ruined the interest in them. I much would prefer that they are ghost stories Autobots tell each other... of the time they saw Tarn silently walk through a raging battlefield, find a Decepticon who had broken a rule, and brutally taken him away with his commander telling his soldiers to just ignore Tarn... that is FAR scarier. Especially if you then get a story with them going after someone like Drift or Fulcrum and the DJD calmly tells them "Release him and you'll have no problems from us. Don't... and here is how you will die."

...basically I imagine Tarn having a young Liam Neeson's voice.

There was a lot of characters who had unique abilities that never got used to their fullest potential:

Windcharger, who had the power of magnetism... in a universe full of transforming ROBOTS.*

Punch/Counterpunch’s spy aspect never really got used much.

Skywarp being able to teleport would have been an utter gamebreaker... if he actually used it enough.*

Optimal Optimus only used his Beast Mode TWICE (once was seemingly just so people wouldn’t forget he had it).

*Maybe this is why “special powers” were dropped pretty early on?*

I’m not sure if I mentioned this on this thread but I really want to see a DBZ style fight scene between blurr and skywarp

I don't get the hype around G1 Overlord as a character (Especially the old IDW incarnation). TBF, Overlord is fine and serves his purpose as a character in the Masterforce anime, and does what it needs to do in his initial appearance in the IDW Wreckers comics..... but Overlord really outstays his welcome in the old IDW comics after that, and becomes nothing more than just another big, scary bad guy with plot armour (No different than someone like the DJDs) for the main cast to shoot at.

Speaking of plot armour... I know that Transformers are big, durable alien robots from outer space who can transform into different things...... but something like having IDW Overlord simply shrugs off attacks like mowing the lawn, with literally an entire army full of enemies shooting him (basically what that character are devolved into after his reappearance from the IDW Wreckers stories) with everything they got just looks silly and more ridiculous than anything else.

He never seemed that overpowered to me, his run in IDW is

    1. Getting blown up and brought to the brink of death in LSOTW
    2. Getting blown up and brought to the brink of death in MTMTE
    3. Showing up at the end of MTMTE and getting socked in the jaw by Chromedome before just... leaving
    4. Getting killed singlehandedly by Springer in Requiem

IDK how unpopular is this but this Ravage is pretty cool. A jaguar that turns into a Jaguar sounds like a mood, not gonna lie.

I don't see a lot of folks here talking about this guy. I don't own him but just going by this image I got from TFWiki I think I'd like him a hell lot more if I did.

This is a much better reinvention of Ravage than "cassette-ish thing even though Soundwave isn't a cassette player anymore".

To be fair, Skywarp is kinda suppossed to be an idiot.
The problem with a Gorilla alt mode is it's kinda redundant when you are able to turn into a humanoid robot. At least his previous forms the Gorilla shielded his mechanical parts from energon overload, or had the flight capabilities. But since he had an actual jet mode, and his robot mode did everything the gorilla mode did, there wasn't any point to using it. He also didn't use his ground vehicle mode much.

I'd kinda like to see a Go-Bots re imagining.

There was one last year, but it was only a four-part miniseries and had horrific pacing issues toward the end.

I know. And it's a shame because Tom Scolli's brand of insanity just makes for some fun rides, but that series really didn't have the room to breathe it needed. It's a large part of why I'd like to see something new done with the Go Bots.
