Sent them an email, will pop and update here when I hear back in case anyone else in future runs into the same problem.

EDIT: Yep two new missile assemblies heading my way for $20 shipped. Not bad! Not like there was any doubt, but still impressed with how quick they were to reply and sort it out. Good bunch.

 

Just pulled this guy off my MP shelf to give him some love.

Wow, I forgot how much I like this figure. It's actually one of the only 3rd party figures I didn't sell off. He just fits in so well with the official figures.

 

It's funny because for years I thought of him as just a stand-in until a better Trailbreaker came out, but after two competitors it's becoming pretty clear that there might not BE a better one. Fanstoys is the last shot and who knows when or even if that will actually materialize? Even if it never does, I have a great representation of the character, and if it does I'm gonna really have to ask myself if it's worth it to miss out on another new character (or more than one) to replace the figure I already have that's pretty great.

Of course, if I do, Ocular Max is kind enough to be the only Trailbreaker that offers toy-centric head and weapons display options. So I could always just keep both....

 

That's where I'm at. Terraegis is awesome and has been my TB for ages and probably will be for a long time to come.
I do have an FT preorder in for if it does ever show up, and if it does I'll decide between the two. It'll be easier to sell FT TB on if I decide I don't want to keep him than pick him up after the fact.

THe head, yes, but not the weapons layout option. (sensor over the middle of the head, cannons over both shoulders)

 

No great solution for the contours of the hood.

 

If you use a smaller symbol, especially a water slide decal, you should be able to get it to look good. I just have a reprolabels on mine and it still looks pretty good

 

Or you could go off centre, if you don’t mind little differences between source material like that.

 

If you have the toyhax on it and the toy head, having the sticker flat would go against the entire look of g1 toy so I don't mind it.

 

Edit: Turns out I just have a busy body ex-housemate. He had the parts. D'oh. Sorry MMC! Terraegis is finally complete.

I just picked up Terraegis Offroad a couple days ago and I'm loving this guy! The look in both bot and alt mode is amazing! 90% of the loose or falling off parts problems are nonexistent on my copy with the only loose part being the ab crunch, which does have some friction but not enough, and the running boards are glued on crooked however not noticeable in bot mode so I'm not sure yet if I'll go through the trouble to de-bond the glue and fix them. I will push the pin out for the crunch and slip a clear plastic thin washer to add friction.

He was fiddley to transform which was annoying and overall the hands were the worst! The clearance necessary for the hand to clear the upper forearm inside the forearm made it very tight and the cuff/trim pulled off breaking one of the little thin cross bars it hooks on by. That area should be thicker! The whole arm assembly kinda has the feel of a fragile glue together model. I also couldn't get one of the wheels to slide all the way up and click into place in the leg. Those were all tight and I noticed they dont work like I watched in some reviews. They can bind and if you keep pushing something will give but not what you want. I can see the wheels causing me trouble if/when I put him to alt mode.

 

I decided to put dual forearm faction decals on him with a small one as a hood ornament. I painted his head Crest border gold since it looked like it needed a little something and painted the little pegs on the biceps silver and gold but hard to see in my pics.

 

Any chance for a reissue of this guy? He looks super cool.

 

The standard release? If not, I'm sure there will be lots doing the rounds come January.
