Gravestone is compatible with MP-10s trailer isn't it? If so it would probably be cheaper to pay a customizer (if you can't do it yourself) to paint one of them the right colors.

Everyone critiques Gravestones Ab crunch plastic but I have never actually seen anyone say it's broken ?

I'm aware of one breaking, but it was the circle piece for the waist rotation that actually broke, not the actual crunch hinge. I only bring it up because it at least looks like it is the same plastic (I stopped XTB's after Crackup).

I mean it's annoying for sure, but I dont know this makes them 'untrustworthy'? We all know to take planned release dates with a pinch of salt in 3P world. You'll get your toys, folks :)

While the tolerance is something that may depend on the factory and not (entirely) on the design, the choice of that DAMN gummy plastic is entirely up to them and I really can't believe they are still using it after the landslide of complaints people are writing about it. Savant's upper arms, Overheat's shoulders (and ab flaps), Gravestone's ab joint are the first three that come to my mind and I hope I'll never see it again in new molds.

I really can't understand why they do so good in design (better than most, to me) but then make one or two avoidable mistakes EVERY TIME, that ruin the excitement. :(

Doubt it before a Zeta Predaking set, which was first "revealed" as a 3D render at the beginning of 2019. Very slim chance of a Zeta Menasor any time soon. I had hoped this for a while when I was buying the Zeta Aerial bots, seeing as a Menasor would have rounded up the first of the 4 combiner teams for them if we include TW's Constructor, as they were from the same design team, or so I think is right to say. I can't see it happening now though when considering that Zeta seem to be in a strange place - changing company names or branching new sister companies in light of the Unicron debacle.

I'm on the brink of giving up on my XTB set. They've been boxed up this week, which is never a good sign for figures in my collection.

I really do feel sorry for the ones who are saying, "if I don't get my toy I'm going to quit!". Your lives must truly be hell if you can't wait for a simple toy, I'd imagine you must be practically comatose from day to day life.
Sorry guys, just kind of feels like you're being the little kid in the middle of Wal Mart screaming because mom wouldn't get you the toy you think you wanted.

It's the response of the frustrated but powerless. There is no other way for them to do anything in this situation.

If you're on the fence about switching to the Fans Toys set because of price, I feel that they are worth it. I have Magnum and Road King in hand and they are perfect. Great QC and thick, heavy plastic that is not fragile. They are indeed far more expensive, but the difference is obvious when you have them in front of you. You won't need to worry about future releases being crap and breaking on you, these things are made to last. I will admit, this is my favorite team and I have no problem going in on both XTB and Fans Toys sets, but if I had to choose one over the other, Fans Toys is the clear winner.

I'd take XTB's over DX9s though. Those things are really ugly. Bad face sculpts and super skinny robot mode.

I think this is unfair. Some impatience is justified, IHMO, considering the lengthy delays.

And this thread has also been generally good-natured; I wouldn’t really characterise any of the posts here as like “screaming for mama”.

But hey, if taking delight in the frustrations of other people is your bag, then by all means take your fill.

For my record (can't speak for others) that's not what I said. I do have every right to sell off on a set in favour of another if I so wish though... don't I? Especially considering my mum isn't paying for them :D  This isn't a situation of throwing my toys out of the pram here, it's a case of boxing them up neatly and tidily, packaging them up securely and selling them on to a fellow collector who may get more out of them than me.

Be careful not to project your own reasonings on to others. Being frustrated and powerless is not a "one size fits all" cause that we should blanket people with. There are plenty more reasons than the two you specify.

It is not at all a projection. I haven't quit and I have no plans to currently. It was an assessment of why people might be doing the thing Taz mocked (people threatening to quit). I honestly feel for all of us that just want this set to be done and have to watch as a bunch of other stuff gets produced instead. There is quite literally nothing impactful that any of us can do about it. Some, in frustration, throw up their hands and quit. It's a natural reaction.

Not surprising since Zeta is, from what some of us in the community have seen, one of the at least pettier 3Ps. They follow ToyWorld's lead, just so they can upstage them for payback (For anyone not aware, Zeta's designers were the same who worked on Constructor, but left due to a lack of compensation). That's why we see more than anything, retools of ToyWorld designs, as they took those along with them. Predaking was what TW had lined up next, so Zeta followed suit.

I honestly would be VERY interested in seeing how Zeta could put together a Menasor, though.

They showed some updates for their Eligos reissue on FB and posted this in the comments:

Sounds like even XTB is getting fed up with getting asked about it :p

Still skeptical that's its even possible at this point given it's mid October, but they're still committing to getting it out before years end. :)

Honestly, until DX9 or Fans Toys completes their set, complaints about trailer delays are moot. I'd say XTB is closest to finishing, despite the trailer delays. One of the other 2 have yet to even show a prototype of Menasor, the other yet to show a render of Drag Strip. At least with XTB, you can have all 5 Stunticons in hand.

Complaints about plastic quality, though, are entirely valid and great reasons to question if this set is worth finishing. The original appeal of the XTB set was the lower price compared to DX9 and FT, yet Grave Stone with the trailer will costs way more than DX9s Capone, and the limbs have been more expensive with each release. If you're going to pay out anyway, then XTB loses it's big advantage. And on top of that, having to accept that you're buying a set that uses sub-standard plastic, you may be throwing your money away. While I think XTBs customer service was great in handling my request for redesigned Overheat replacement shoulders, it should have never been released in a state where once transformation breaks it. My big fear is spending over $100 on Gravestone or the trailer, and having crap plastic on it break. That is 100% unacceptable to me.

Will the trailer come with some ranch dressing to dip the cheese parts in? Blue cheese dressing optional.

I have all five XTB Stunticons right now and I've decided to swap out for the FT Stunticons. The deciding factor came when I put them on the shelf next to the MMC Combaticons, they looked so small and out of scale. I have FT's Breakdown and Wild Rider and they look right next to MMC's figures as well as the rest of the Decepticons.

I am keeping Gravestone as I think he looks better than FT's. I've never really been a huge fan of actually combining them. The only combiner I have displayed right now is Toyworld Devy.
