i think this is the right spot to ask this: to any one who has the mosterarts heisei Gamera figures, how do they compare and contrast? trying to save up money to get one but am torn between the 96 and 99 versions. 99 is much cheaper but i like the look of 96 better, plus he has the chest weapon.
I only have the 96 Gamera and he is awesome, but the chest pieces are a mess to realign after you open them up for his attack thing.
96 Gamera is my favorite Gamera, but it's not my favorite figure thanks to the chest engineering. 99 Gamera is the better figure, or if you want you can save to get 95 Gamera instead. -------------- Not MonsterArts, but I got Skull Island Mother Longlegs
For a budget line it is good. Leg articulation could've been better, but I prefer a stable figure than one that wouldn't stand.
IT'S OVER! Now I just have to repaint it. Unfortunately since the film was shot like crap I can't find any shot that shows the accurate colors, so I'm going to base it on the Spiral Studio version.
A bunch of stuff went up for preorder on BBTS for King Kong Vs. Godzilla. It says Bandai Spirits... what could that be? Model Kits?
The key part of the names on those listings is "Movie Monster Series", the name of Bandai's long-running Godzilla vinyl toyline.
Maybe just repaint him in a nice gold color similar to the Heisei King Ghidorah, but I'm just throwing an idea out there.
Still no blue Godzilla, but I got KiryuGoji before it runs out of stock. Here are the eyes. That is what I'm doing. Orange didn't look right so I switched to gold. You can't say it's wrong because you can never tell by going by the movie.
