Yeah as someone who had to play catch up, even finding the stuff is hard, let alone at retail prices. I was fortunate enough to get a lot of them from board members here, but some of the ones I couldn't I ended up paying over retail. Even in Japan, most of them go for higher then retail. Once they sell out at retail, tracking them down gets expensive. Warurader stuff, tends to stay pretty close to retail, but Big Powered and Dai Battles get pretty pricey when you get the alt versions. Sadly I think the one that I've seen closest to retail price after the retail sell out is DA-50 Giganter, which is shocking since I think it's one of the best figures in the line.

Well so true but I'm just looking and if i can afford to get 1 I'll do it. I'm just used to the $20 to $25 and even the $50 dollar transformers prices. So i guess i can't figure those prices in these figures. I dunno I'm just looking and learning as well get an idea as to what I'm looking at in spending. Just trying to be that wise old Alpha Trion type of guy.

Yeah, it's a slippery slope. I pre-ordered Dai Battles when it first came out and when it was finally released I never opened it, just never had any desire to. At that point I also had Big Powered on pre-order, but when the price + shipping from HLJ was determined I canceled it. Didn't really think much of it for a while, thought the line was kinda cool, but I, at the time, just wasn't a big fan of the look of the new line and most of them were just repaints of each other. Then DA-50 was announced and I loved the look of it, maybe because it reminded me of Scoponok or something, I dunno. Ended up going back and opening the Dai Battles that sat for years and at that point I was hooked. Kept saying I would only stick with the Waruader stuff, but gotta have good guys to fight bad guys right ;)  . At this point I've tracked down most of the larger figures and a number of the suits. Big Powered is fantastic, the play-ablilty is insane. The line is really expensive, but when you have it in hand, between the quality of the plastic, the parts count and the engineering you can sorta understand why. I'm at the point, where I am pre-ordered stuff, even if I am not a huge fan of it based off the pictures. Two reasons for that. 1.) I've been wrong before and ended up loving the figures. 2.) Once they sell out at retail, it's expensive and even difficult to find some of this stuff, even a year later. I figure if I really don't like something I could sell it and get most, if not all of my money back. Sorry for the long post.

If you want to stay low, you can just buy powered suits from this line, or dianauts sets. They are in the $40/60 range, and yes, it may seem too much for robots that are shorter than a lighter or for just 8 toy soldiers, but they are so amazing that you'll change your mind.

Also, you can fit dianauts in several Transformers. Not the best, but it works. If you have generations jetfire (not the last one, the previous mold) you'll love how he looks with dianauts in his cockpit.
Later i'll try to find mine and i'll male some pics.

If you want to try out the line, you should give this set a shot. If you end up not enjoying the Gamma and Delta suits, you probably won't enjoy the rest of the line (and you won't be out too much money).

Speaking only for myself, it was Diabattles that sold me on the line. If I had bought only the smaller suits first, I might not have spent more to get the larger sets.

The small suits are a lot of money for very small figures. Diabattles costs roughly as much as a MP Transformer, so it didn't bother me to pick one up. Once I saw all of the engineering, modularity and such, I was sold.

YMMV, just wanted to add my perspective.

@Blackout32 if you’re used to the size for price of transformers mainline figures, Diaclone will be a huge shock for you. A $200 figure like Battle Buffalo, which looks huge in pictures, is only about 8” tall. Powered suits are smaller than a legends class TF and four times the price.

these are IMO some of the coolest toys on the market right now but the price is just stratospheric. Watch for deals on the secondary market if you must, but my honest recommendation for someone who prefers the price/size of current mainline transformers figures: admire from afar and don’t try to buy anything - you’ll have an extremely hard time getting over the size, if you even can.

Indeed. The size-to-price gap is a pretty large mental hurdle to go over. It really isn't for everyone.
Took me a while, but once I went for it and was able to have a few figures in hand, the indecision was gone.

just as a counter opinion here, don’t start with the small sets. Get a triverse release or larger.
The powered suits are cool and I enjoy them a lot, but I doubt my interest would’ve been kept if I had started with them. They work as a supplement to the rest of a line, but will seem overpriced when you receive one. The larger sets will show you why this line is worth the money.

Has anyone here bought magnetic stickers to use with their Dianauts on other things and vehicles?

I'm thinking about buying something like ghat but do I buy a steel sheet or magnetic stickers? And when buying magnetic stickers, is there a certain strength and polarity to look for?

I never bought stickers, but some of my dianauts have magnets with opposite polarities in their feet.
So, i guess it could be safer to buy metal stickers, if you get magnetic stickers you risk to teach your dianauts how to dance cancan.
    They'll look like this i guess images.jpeg

IMO comparing these to mainline TFs isn’t really fair. These are basically “Masterpiece Diaclone” and should be considered on that level.

Agree. Also, dianauts fit perfectly in old mp seekers, like my sunstorm.
Also, the cockpit of mp seekers seems to be made on purpose to allow a dianaut to fit in and pilot even in bot mode, so i guess diaclone technically qualifies as a masterpiece subline

    I have these.

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B003XNAHMC/ref=ppx_yo_mob_b_inactive_ship_o0_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1

they cut easy enough and they’re thin enough to replicate the real stickers.

Straight up repelled? No. But it seems there’s some grooves, or stripes, of + and - charges on the sheets, so a foot might want to rest a few millimeters away from where I actually want it to be. It hasn’t bothered me terribly so far. Here are some pics. Sorry I don’t want to dig out my big powereds or buffalos atm to show off the stickers.

I moved from a 3rd world country with insane religious nuts trying to control the government to Korea 12 years ago. I was raised in poverty and have always been extremely poor. Now I teach English to elementary school kids in my house. That’s my job. I just teach kids in my house. Government provided healthcare and a lack of religion in politics makes society much easier to navigate and prosper in. I’m so happy I left the States. :D
